Publisher's Summary

Rule number one: Don't fall for jerks. Rule number two: Don't fall for your best friend's brother. Oops. Too late.

I'm Luciana Wright. Everyone calls me Lucky, but when it comes to love, I'm anything but. I have a long history of dating the wrong men. You know the ones I'm talking about. The beautiful, charming guys who are quite literally too good to be true. The ones who are impulsive in love and prefer short flings over long-term relationships. I'm talking about the jerks. The guys who taste so good, but are so very bad.

After going through the most ridiculous breakup in the history of breakups, I thought I'd learned my lesson. I officially put myself into jerk rehab and committed to changing my ways. But, let's be real here, love is never that easy. Especially when an arrogant, charming, he-devil of a sexy alpha man gets involved.

Aussie accent. Tanned skin. Muscular, surfer bod. Gorgeous brown eyes. And the kind of sexy smile that brings women to their knees. Oh, did I mention that he's also my best friend's brother?

Yeah. This story, my story, it's a real doozy you guys.

The day I stopped falling for jerks, I met Oliver Arsen - the biggest jerk of all.

Loved it!

Wow. Honestly, that was the first thing that came to mind once I finished this audiobook. The narration was amazing, and the way the story was structured was really new and fun to listen to. One thing I will tell you about this book... you need to have access to the next one if you start this. Why? Because, of course, it ends on a cliffhanger! If you are totally ready to listen to the series or even just the next book (because that is literally the last book anyway), this is a book I would definitely recommend. This book brought tears to my eyes! It will definitely take you on a ride of emotions and will probably hit you in the face once you have finished reading it. But again, I would still recommend this book. If you have read the blurb to this book and think you may like it, give it a go! I hope you decide to. Enjoy!

Loved the story and set up (podcast) but the ‘Aussie’ accent is hard to listen to…

I love Max Monroe and I love all the books. I love THIS book including how it was set up as a podcast.
As an Aussie, I REALLY struggled not cringing every time I heard the ‘Australian’ accent. It sounded like a part British, part American, part South African part I-don’t-even-know-anymore mash up. It was just bad which took away from the fact that everything else about the performance was fantastic. Be patient Aussie listeners and keep in mind that we love the Max Monroe; their stories are always top notch!

Couldn’t wait for this one

After reading Book 1 and I was unable to stop listening, the podcast idea was brilliant.
Loved the masculine chuckle.. utter perfection.
Thank you

It had such potential

I'm sorry to write this review. I really really wanted to like this book, and I kept listening to it hoping that I was wrong, but I wasn't.
How excited was I to buy a book about an Aussie surfer, being that I'm an Aussie who lives in a surfing based State? How exciting that the guy wasn't some 20 something idiot, but an 30ish dude that had lots of potential. How awesome that the main girl was a sarcastic, funny, willing try anything heroine. All big ticks in my opinion. I was on holidays, and awaiting a great feel good book.
First of all, two of the characters were Australian. We had an American narrator, and whilst she tried really hard to master our obnoxious twang, she failed, miserably. I tried really hard to ignore her butchering our accent, but I just couldn't get past it. I'm really sorry. And it was because I was interested in the story so much that I kept on keeping on to hear the story out. Unfortunately, it was another one of those "if these people just spoke to each other, none of this would have fallen apart" type scenarios. One huge over-reaction and bam, book ended, please buy next one. I'm really sorry to say this, but maybe if it had been dual narrated, maybe even had three narrators, I could have handled the predictable storyline better. I really wanted to like this book, but I just couldn't get past those issues. Won't stop me from trying the author again though.
