Publisher's Summary

Everyone says opposites attract. And they must be right, because there’s no logical reason why I’m so drawn to Colin Fitzgerald. I don’t usually go for tattoo-covered, video-gaming, hockey-playing nerd-jocks who think I’m flighty and superficial. His narrow view of me is the first strike against him. It doesn’t help that he’s buddy-buddy with my brother.

And that his best friend has a crush on me.

And that I just moved in with them.

Oh, did I not mention we’re roommates?

I suppose it doesn’t matter. Fitzy has made it clear he’s not interested in me, even though the sparks between us are liable to burn our house down. I’m not the kind of girl who chases after a man, though, and I’m not about to start. I’ve got my hands full dealing with a new school, a sleazy professor, and an uncertain future. So if my sexy brooding roomie wises up and realizes what he’s missing?

He knows where to find me.

Hunter

If you want to know what happens to Hunter read the next book The Play, it’s a year later and the book follows Hunter as he visits old hockey friends and is now the Captain of the Hickey team. Great follow on story from The Chase.

Suspense and Love and Hot Accents

I loved that Sommer is not your typical book worm or super studious girl- that was super relatable, a big breath of fresh air from all the other books that exist nowadays. Loved the depth of both characters, Their background and their reasoning. At first I didn’t like the accent of Sommer and the Kappas( idk how you spell that I’m from Australia) but I pushed through and in the end loved all the accents and the loud personalities of everyone. Only negative was I wish the book was longer!
Feel like I have a new favourite author-currently writing this as I listen to it for the second time. Brilliant.

Better reading then the first book

Continues in the universe from the deal but you'll fall in love with the extended universe and the characters with it

Summer Time

Loved it. Hilarious with some of Summer's unfiltered comments and loved her bloody adorable family. Big thumbs up but my heart feels sad and sore for Hunter.

Thoroughly enjoyable

I wasn’t expecting to enjoy this as much as I did! Found myself with a silly grin on my face and chuckling to myself a few times.

Very Enjoyable

This was my first audio book and I really enjoyed it. Once I started I couldn’t stop.
It was strange at first as the voices were not what I was expecting the characters to sound like but once I adjusted the preconceived idea I was hooked.

Captivating

In my opinion this book was epic! Granted the dialogue was a bit graffic for my taste but the character dynamics were on point. In those rear moments in-between listening i found myself feeling as though I was in love and had to reminds myself, these are fictional characters in a book. I loved this book and if I wasn't listening to it I was thinking about it

Great story

Enjoyable and entertaining. The narrators did a fantastic job bringing this book to life. Would have loved an epilogue and a bit more HEA.

I loved the penthouse scene witb Dean. Laughed so hard during the end of the penthouse scene when Fitz was on the floor and the two lines he and Summer had. It was a sweet banter!!

AMAZING!

This was such a cute romance! The narration was awesome!! Jacob Morgan and CJ Bloom are some of my favourite narrators, and they definitely didn't disappoint in this audiobook. Elle Kennedy is also a favourite author of mine. I've read some other books of hers and loved them so much. She seems to be able to add the right amount of heartbreak, but also enough fun times where you feel fulfilled by the end of the book. This would have been just as good to read, but I definitely don't regret listening to this as an audiobook because it definitely added just that extra bit to the story that made it even more awesome. If you have read the blurb and think you will like it, then I definitely recommend this book as one to read. This is one that you can easily decide to read as a standalone or read on about other characters romances. Enjoy!

Very unappealing heroine

Elle Kennedy is usually a solid author but unfortunately this book is a dud. Summer is very unappealing- entitled, whiny, flighty and so hard to relate to. There are some very cliche plot elements, a towel drop scene, really? Fitzy I just couldn’t care less about, and there is just way too much minor character setup and very little interaction between Summer and Fitzy in the first half of the book, not to mention no believable chemistry. Skip this one.
