The dissolute landowner Fyodor Pavlovich Karamazov is murdered; his sons - the atheist intellectual Ivan, the hot-blooded Dmitry, and the saintly novice Alyosha - are all at some level involved.

Bound up with this intense family drama is Dostoevsky's exploration of many deeply felt ideas about the existence of God, the question of human freedom, the collective nature of guilt, and the disastrous consequences of rationalism. The novel is also richly comic: the Russian Orthodox Church, the legal system, and even the author's most cherished causes and beliefs are presented with a note of irreverence, so that orthodoxy, radicalism, sanity and madness, love and hatred, right and wrong are no longer mutually exclusive.

This is in my opinion the very best narration and by far the most detailed Narrative

Overall one of the greatest novels ever written and it’s never been more suitable for these times Sociologically , Psychologically and , Philosophically rare to have such a versatile narrator to serve it justice . 5 stars incredible listen… In detail this version goes far more ( Entertainingly ) with great depth I have not heard in audiobook form , buy it and learn more than you’ll ever here on this format….

Beautiful

Probably best book ever written. Narrator read well with feeling. He lacks diversity in his voices which made the characters occasionally hard to distinguish but certainly got the job done very well.
