Publisher's Summary
This spinoff of The Replacement Crush featuring Amy and Toff is sure to melt your heart.
Shy bookworm Amy McIntyre is about to compete for the chance to interview her favorite author, who hasn't spoken to the press in years. The only way to win is to step out of the shadows and into the spotlight, but that level of confidence has never come easy.
The solution? A competition coach. The problem? The best person for the job is the guy she's secretly crushing on...local surfer celebrity Toff Nichols.
He's a player. He's a heartthrob. He makes her forget basic things, like how to breathe. How can she feel any confidence around him?
To her surprise, Toff agrees to help. And he's an excellent teacher. Amy feels braver - maybe even brave enough to admit her feelings for him. When their late night practices become less about coaching and more about making out, Amy's newfound confidence wavers.
But does Toff really like her or is this just another lesson?

Powerful. sensual. Romantic.
Loved this. Slow burner. But food & heart is warm. Well done author. Narrator was pretty difficult to listen to. Apart from this a pleasant surprise.

A book trope with a bit of competition…
This is a YA book based on seniors during their summer. Some of the scenes take me back to the factories I would hang out as a kid.
Using a plethora of different books to engage the characters and hidden meanings that aren’t hidden to the reader.
Overall a good refreshing read.

loved every second
I'm not usually into Surfer themed Romances. But I really enjoyed this! I loved the character development and how each character was an individual. I personally identified more with Viv as I was always the go-getter in our friendship group growing up. Amy reminded me of my best friend. She had to learn to find her voice, and I had to step back to push her forward. I definitely ship #BonnieAndClyde!!!

Light entertainment
A fun story without much depth to it. Probably good for teenagers. The narration made it feel much younger than it needed to be and was quite annoying to listen to.

Enjoyable
This is young love and all the insecurities that go along with it. Along with the hopes and dreams. At times I laughed and other times I smiled.
Light hearted and enjoyable

Cute story
A cute YA romance if you can get past the narration. Amy’s voice was extremely annoying and made her sound like a whiny 12 year old.
