Lovely and well-written
It’s difficult to enjoy most novellas, as they often seem to lack depth in terms of plot and character. This one was a very satisfying read because it was well-paced, and despite the plot being based on a strong moral premise, it wasn’t at all mawkish or sanctimonious. The narration was also excellent.
