Recently divorced and reluctantly retired, Julia Bird has fled London to enjoy idyllic rural life in the Cotswolds. Determined to have the perfect English garden, her first job is to tear down the old shed, where she unearths much more than she’d bargained for: a body, apparently buried for decades. But who could it be, and who killed them? The police draw a blank, and even the gossip-fest that is the local book club can’t remember anyone going missing in the village.

Story
Love, Lucy is the valentine Lucille Ball left for her fans—a warm, wise, and witty memoir written by Lucy herself. The legendary star of the classic sitcom I Love Lucy was at the pinnacle of her success when she sat down to record the story of her life. No comedienne had made America laugh so hard, no television actress had made the leap from radio and B movies to become one of the world’s best-loved performers. This is her story—in her own words.

Publisher's Summary
In a world that denies emotions, where the ruling Psy punish any sign of desire, Sascha Duncan must conceal the feelings that brand her as flawed. To reveal them would be to sentence herself to the horror of 'rehabilitation' - the complete psychic erasure of her personality....
Both human and animal, Lucas Hunter is a Changeling hungry for the very sensations the Psy disdain. After centuries of uneasy coexistence, these two races are now on the verge of war over the brutal murder of several Changeling women. Lucas is determined to find the Psy killer who butchered his packmate, and Sascha is his ticket into their closely guarded society. But he soon discovers that this ice-cold Psy is very capable of passion - and that the animal in him is fascinated by her. Caught between their conflicting worlds, Lucas and Sascha must remain bound to their identities - or sacrifice everything for a taste of darkest temptation....

Great Book. Great Narrator.
I really enjoyed this book. I have read the hard copy a long time ago. Hearing this narrator using the different voices for the different characters really made this book very enjoyable for me.

Excellent
This is the story of Sasha Duncan who is born a Psy but has some serious flaws and believes herself useless and almost at the point where death is the only answer and then she meets Lucas who is a changeling and sparks fly. This is a story full of love, passion and the crimes of a truly horrible predator but if Sasha and Lucas can take the chance on each other there just might be an answer that can save them all. I highly recommend this audio it listens just how I imagined the book when I read it.

A favourite series
Long time favourite series I’ve reread uncountable times. Great world, amazing characters and interesting plot lines.
I’m apparently fussy about my narrators and can’t understand how little thought goes into some of the readers-story combinations. Saying that, while AD wouldn’t be my pick for this series, she does do a decent job. I’ve heard her in other stories that she’s better suited to, but at no point was I tempted throw my device because of her reading in this one ;)

Slow burn
I had previously purchased and returned this as it didn’t grab me and you need to concentrate on the details. Second time round and I enjoyed the book, especially once the characters relationship developed about half way in. There’s no cliffhanger and I believe the next one is about different characters in the same world. Might continue with the series but am not going to immediately.
