Story
It has been 20 years since the end of the war. The dictatorial Augurs - once thought of almost as gods - were overthrown and wiped out during the conflict, their much-feared powers mysteriously failing them. Those who had ruled under them, men and women with a lesser ability known as the Gift, avoided the Augurs' fate only by submitting themselves to the rebellion's Four Tenets.

Story
Warbreaker is the story of two sisters, who happen to be princesses, the god king one of them has to marry, the lesser god who doesn’t like his job, and the immortal who’s still trying to undo the mistakes he made hundreds of years ago. Their world is one in which those who die in glory return as gods to live confined to a pantheon in Hallandren’s capital city and where a power known as BioChromatic magic is based on an essence known as breath that can only be collected one unit at a time from individual people.

Publisher's Summary
Mistborn: Secret History is a companion story to the original Mistborn trilogy.
As such, it contains huge spoilers for the books Mistborn (The Final Empire), The Well of Ascension and The Hero of Ages. It also contains very minor spoilers for the book The Bands of Mourning.
Mistborn: Secret History builds upon the characterisation, events and worldbuilding of the original trilogy. Listening to it without that background will be a confusing process at best.
In short, this isn't the place to start your journey into Mistborn (though if you have listened to the trilogy - but it has been a while - you should be just fine, so long as you remember the characters and the general plot of the books).
Saying anything more here risks revealing too much. Even knowledge of this story's existence is, in a way, a spoiler.
There's always another secret.

Incredibly crafted story with a surprising amount of emotion portrayed by the writing and narration.

Good at Connecting Thrrads
Though a little disjointed at times, this is a solid little novella to peer behind the curtain and connect some aspects of the Mistborn Trilogy (especially Book 3) that's confusing otherwise. Lacks typical flare of a Sanderson volume, but is fun to see Kelsier do what he does best and is not without spark. Not required reading, but worth it for a fan of the series

My absolute favourite to date
Secret history is by far my most enjoyed book of the mistborn saga so far. Sure it's a short novella but by the lord ruler, it's worth a read. There's always another secret

Mistborn has taken over my life
I downloaded this about a week after finishing the trilogy, with no idea what it was about...
Brutal start to return to, but I literally had chills listening to the first couple of chapters, to be immersed in this world again, and at this point in time, and with these characters... it certainly wasn't as immersive as the other books, but it was entertaining, and the narrator, as usual, was incredible. More intrigue raised about the bigger picture too, which I have had hints of from friends! I am anxious to learn more, but not sure I'm ready yet. In any case, an excellent way to return to the world and the story for a time.

Lovely book, by a brilliant writer
The thing with the Mistborn Series and most of Sanderson's work is the interesting mechanics he uses to tell his narrative. Altering normal conventions of magic to bring in the fantasy elements and then combining it with a well thought out universe including afterlife is no easy task. However as always Sanderson excels at just that. A good story, well written and well spoken. Thanks guys!
