The Mirror Universe is a dark and twisted reflection of our own, where humans and Vulcans live as slaves to a brutal alliance of Klingons and Cardassians – an alliance long believed to be the creation of one man, the feared and hated Emperor Tiberius, the Mirror Universe counterpart of James T. Kirk. But just as Kirk survived his own age to live in the era of a new generation of heroes, so Tiberius now returns to fulfill his mad dreams of total domination - not just of his universe, but of Kirk's as well.
From the nightmarish landscape of the Mirror Universe Earth to the joys of impending parenthood and marriage to the woman he loves, the imcomparable Teilani of Chal, Kirk is propelled into his most personal and dangerous mission yet as he fights to uncover the secret of Tiberius' return, and learn the terrible truth behind the madman's real plans for the Federation.

"Dude, where's my goatee?"
Okay, it's cheesey. I admit it. But it's a hell of a lot of fun.
This episode (that's how I've come to think of Shatner's ST books)has it all. Kirk, Picard, Janeway (sort of), and all of their subordinates. On top of that, it features the Mirror Universe. How can you now listen to this with a smile.
I follow the Star Trek series and this book is true to the saga, but I found audio a little harder to follow then others.
William Shatner is a god write and reader.
Too many sound effects take away from the reading.
"AWESOME book !!!"
I found the book to be absolutely amazing . Even more amazing narrated by Shatner himself .
"Impossible to follow plot"
The story line [plot] was impossible to follow. More narration to explain what and who
definitely not but this was not a fun listen. If I could see it, maybe to to listen, no
Yes but the characters and plot were hard.
It was Star Trek
I would like to return this title and get another StarTrek book.
"Star Trek: Dark Victory"
Narration was the best. Story a little difficult to follow. But still definatly Star Trek.
Kirk battles against his greatest enemy in this adventure,it's a good yarn, well read too. 3 stars because it seems to come in the middle of things like an episode in a series. Something sort of came to an end at the beginning and there was sort of a beginning at the end. It stands alone well enough but they should make it clear it is part of a series or at least tell you what came before (you are given a clue as to the next in the series though which is also available here).
