A starship lost. A creator found. A frantic race to save them both.
For Colonel Mitchell "Ares" Williams, there is no giving up. There is no going back. The Goliath may have fallen into enemy hands, but the war must go on.
After all, he and the Riggers have what they need to locate the Creator, the man responsible for the alien threat and the key to unraveling their unstoppable attack. All they have to do is get to him before the Tetron do.
It's no easy task, but nothing about the war has ever been easy, and the Riggers still have a few tricks left up their sleeves.

"My favorite space series"
This is the best space battle series I've heard. I listen to each book several times. The characters, plot, tension - even the enemies - keep me riveted. And Jeffrey Kafer does a superb job with narration. I wish new War Eternal books came out every month. I'll keep buying them as long as Mr. Forbes keeps writing them.
Do yourself a favor and listen to the first book in the series: Starship Eternal. I think you'll be hooked on War Eternal too.
Best book of the series, so far! I can't wait to jump into the next!
"Same old same old."
Overwhelming odds that drag on and on with last moment surprise out of nowhere rescue. It really gets tiring.
"keeping the story flowing and exciting"
Another awesome story continues. I don't know how Forbes comes up with these stories. just when you think it is over another plot line appears and off you go. The only bad thing is that at this time no more audio books are available in the series. Come on!!
While I'm still in remorse over Millie's death*, my interest in saga was re-invigorated with the new focus on the 12 year old Cathy (a half-human, half Tetron construct.) I won't go into detail about her exploits or her circumstances but suffice it to say, they are entertaining as they further move the story along the path of breaking the, seemingly, eternal repetition of human versus Tetron timelines.
Even though the novel is still entertaining, the whole process is becoming a bit too repetitive and while I'm looking forward to book 5, I'm hoping that it will finally be the conclusion to this saga.
* Note: I really should have seen this coming after she handed her command over to Mitch.
"Disgusting. Pedophilia...child rape...unnecessary"
Unnecessary. Enough said. But I need to have at least 15 words...so here we go. This story was tough to follow, but had plenty of cringe-worth moments where the author decided to take us into dark places where we didn't need to go. Unfortunate.
"Excellent end to my week!"
I did really enjoy this as a series, but there were just a couple of things in this that tripped me up as a reader and I really would have preferred that M. R. Forbes take this a diff way, but it is what it is, it's still very good writing. If not a little predictable.
I wish Mitch was a little bit more sorry and knowingly sorry that he lost Millie, it seems one min he's grieving and then the next he's wanting to sex up the nearest woman again, I'd have much preferred in this that he actually did grieve as a character, that he did turn the advances away, not be the one constantly thinking about his sex drive...
I wish that they'd had a little time to warn Earth, to be on the defensive, to win something... not for Mitch to have to sacrifice everything along the way, it seems so so bad. The enemy is always one step ahead, and that really sucks.
However, other than that, there were some great defining moments in here and I really do hope that Jeffery gets to narrate the next one, or it might be a long time till I get to read it.
Thanks to you both for an awesome ride. I've enjoyed it, I've had goosebumps, I've had tears in my eyes! and love in my heart. More please....
