Very enjoyable in audible.
Very enjoyable in audible. I had forgotten how sad this was at the beginning and emotional later on. As David has such a deep voice, he does a good job of narrating, as the main character is male. His female voices are always just off a bit for me. BOOK REVIEW I loved this reversal of roles in this series. We get two mature leading characters and it is the female who is the Valdier who gets a mate but not without some problems along the way. Morian is a high priestess and the mother of the Valdier princes we have come to know and love and is a wonderful woman herself. Her dead mate was not her true mate but a marriage of two royal houses and to find herself with a true mate stuns her. Paul is the clever, tough outdoorsman father of Trisha whom we met in book 3. He is a no nonsense take life by the horns man who knows how to be strong and gentle. He has been a widower since Trisha was a baby and never thought he would love again. How these two come together and how Paul is blessed by Aikaterina is wonderful reading.
