TRAITOR steht im Dienst der sogenannten Chaotarchen. Deren Ziel ist, aus den Welten der Milchstraße einen Chaotender zu formen und damit die Existenz der Negasphäre abzusichern, die in der Nachbargalaxis Hangay entsteht. Gewöhnliche Lebewesen können in einer Negasphäre nicht existieren, auch sind alle Naturgesetze an solch einem Ort außer Kraft gesetzt.

Perry Rhodan weiß allerdings, dass vor zwanzig Millionen Jahren schon einmal eine Negasphäre verhindert werden konnte, und reist mit dem neuen Raumschiff JULES VERNE in die Vergangenheit.
