    "Great so far"

I was a little confused with this book, I don't know why I thought this was about Chris for at least a quarter of the way through the book. It was entertaining but it wasn't matching up with what I knew.

I should have read some of the comments before starting this book so I could put it into context. So yah! This is about Declan and Caeco which were the two kids Chris saved in the last book during Toni's rescue.

You could see a LOT of parallels between Declan and Chris, both were trying to hide themselves stay out of the spot light, both extremely powerful. Not on Chris's level yet but still lots of potential.

    Very entertaining.

    "Back to High School!"

I've enjoyed the previous books in this series. This one, however, was not the same at all. It follows High School students in their life, peer struggles, with some supernatural thrown in. There was, eventually, a little interaction with characters in the other books. I struggled to get through it even though I could see where it would intersect with the story line, but, I was very disappointed overall. I hope the next book goes back to the main plot and people.

"If You Skip This - You Will Regret Your Decision"

Usually when an author completely changes protagonists in the middle of a series the decision is a poor choice. Not so with this book. It's a nice change of pace.

This book explores the lives of the 2 kids that were locked in those cells at the end of book 5. There's a bit of crossover in the middle of the book when Chris comes to save his goddaughter.

The writing and story are solid as always. In fact, I'd say this book is on par with the first couple of books of the series.

DO NOT SKIP THIS BOOK BASED UPON OTHER REVIEWS

    "A great spinoff!"
What made the experience of listening to Executable the most enjoyable?

Same universe, but different characters. I like the overlap and the fresh perspective that this book gives of the world, but it still feels like the other novels.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Declan was the kind of character that I can relate to. He is a total techie.

What about James Patrick Cronin’s performance did you like?

Sometimes I had to remind myself that it is a dude who is narrating the Irish girls' accents.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I got the "Marathoner" badge on this book because every few minutes game me a question that I needed answered.

    Any additional comments?

It was great the second time through as well!

    "Not awesome, but good."
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

I think the most interesting aspect is how the author weaves in the modern-day mysticism. The least interesting is when he attempts to explain away the mysticism with pseudo-science.

    Which scene was your favorite?

I think my favorite was when Declan casually explains that he has always been able to do something that everyone else in the community believes to be impossible.

    Any additional comments?

Declan is in high school and a new girl comes into his town. She is also "special". Declan was one of the two kids locked in the cell with Chris in a previous book. This is Declan's story.

    "Dreadful Irish accents"

I love this series. Unfortunately this book is oversupplied with that dubious Irish accent that only Americans seem to use. At one stage the 19 year old Galway girl's accent seem to drift towards England and London. Kind of ruined for me. Since I'm actually Irish that crappy pseudo accent always annoys me.
