"I Can't Get Enough Of This Series!!!!!!"
As much as I like the world I feel its the characters that make this an enjoyable series.
The death a certain character came close to making me cry.
He has voice the last two books of the series as well as the remain books currently available.and gives the characters a better voice than anything I could think of in my head.
This series only gets better with each book, any fan of urban fantasy should at the very least give this series a try.
"I'm So Cool that Even My Weaknesses are Awesome!"
First book was good, second slipped, third book has just gone too far. I've seen stories done right with a superhuman person who grows gradually in power. That's not our hero. He goes from special to Superman in 2 books. His weaknesses are his Super hot Vamp GF and having to eat a ton? Seriously?
"Consistent and getting better."
Again! This is not literary award material and I don't think it's intended to be. If you are looking for mind bending edge of your seat literature there are lots of other tittles from other authors! This is my third listen of the series and I'm getting attached to some of the characters. Some books are meant for reading others for listening. Conroe falls in this last category, fast moving urban phantasy, lots of action, a bit of romance, a dab of funny, a drop of technology, a smidgeon of gunplay, but above all: an easy listen...

6 stars on all accounts!!!!
"Very Enjoyable Listen"
This series is a great getaway series. Lots of action and humor. Easy to follow storyline, likeable characters and plenty of characters to hate. I like that you don't have to read (listen) to 3 books to get some closure. I almost gave up after book 2 thinking it might be a wee bit too violent for me, but bought book 3 and I am glad I did. I find myself laughing out loud in public places and getting strange looks, but can't help myself. Overall a very enjoyable series.
"Werewolves, vampires, demons, oh my."
Enjoyable, and the reader is growing on me rather quickly. Fans of the Underworld series looking for more from a similar universe should find themselves satisfied by this series.
Most good books have a great main character and a few interesting secondary characters. I find most of the secondary characters just as interesting as the main. Only complaint, I felt the story stalled a few times, especially Chris at school. Overall though, great narration and a great listen!
I really enjoy the storyline, however the narration is a bit off when it comes to different male voices.
"Lots of fun!"
These books are just fun. Wish they were a bit longer though. Not quite on par with Dresden Files, mainly because I feel like a bit of time is wasted with constant reminders of all the power the main character has. I liked the underdog feel if the first book in this series.
"Decent Popcorn Light Listen"
Character has some inner struggles, which is keeping my interest. Otherwise, the series is starting to lose its appeal. The challenges facing the characters no longer seem like challenges, just inconveniences. This is a bit borrowing. Plus, the detail in fight scenes are ridiculous and possibly just an attempt to up word count. Knowing that the character dodged right toward the east wall while watching the third attacker attempt a move left (made up example) is not necessary and negates the intensity of a scene.
Possibly worth the purchase if you have enjoyed the series to far. Good for popcorn listens while you are doing other things. If you struggled to enjoy the first couple of books in the series, I would not suggest going further.
What a great series can't wait for the next book. Highly recommend these books if you like vamps and wolves
