Bryony Gordon was not a runner. A loafer, a dawdler, a drinker, a smoker, yes. A runner, no. Not a runner...running
As someone who has always identified as not being a runner or able to run, this book has gotten me off my bum and running not once but twice in my lifetime. The first time was 10 years ago (in my mid-30s), I read the ebook and followed the very simple program and started running 5km 3-4 times per week and was in my best shape ever.
The second time, a month ago, I listened to the book on audible while starting her program, which was motivational in itself, and each day I run I feel radiant and like I have achieved something awesome. In my mid-40s now, I'm careful to listen to my body and disciplined about starting from the beginning of the program, well kind of, it took a few niggles to remind me I hadn't run for 10 years and should chill out and start from the beginning, no matter how much I wanted to jump to week 4. I give it 10 stars! Thanks Ruth!

Do not buy if mental state unwell
I found that Ruth had no understanding whatsoever of people with mental illness. Specifically people that have lived with / have had eating disorders.
Her methods may work for some, but not many.
