The book of Acts and the letters of St Paul from the Holy Bible, read by David Suchet.
David Suchet reads the biblical letters (from Acts to Revelation) to accompany his BBC1 series, In the Footsteps of St Paul. In the two-part documentary, the Poirot actor travels to ancient and modern locations around the Mediterranean, interviewing experts and uncovering the latest archaeological research surrounding St Paul's career.
Scripture is taken from the Holy Bible, New International Version, 2011 translation.

"Buy the whole Book"
Very easy on the ear, with a soft English accent. This man as a believer seems to impart something extra into the reading.
Listened to it three times already.
"excellent to listen to"
pace and able to listen clearly
listened to others readers previously and found them a bit boring if I can say that!
want to listen to the bible - this is a great way!
"At last!!!! A soothing ENGLISH accent Bible!"
Wonderful to listen to but let down from 5 stars in every category for me by the ridiculous fact there are no book headings, so you cannot find 1Peter or Ruth or Job or Collosians just like that. Instead, you are presented with a huge list of numbered chapters only. It seems ridiculous that such a masterful rendition is let down by such a simple organisational clanger. Come on publishers, get this solved and I'll gladly revisit the ratings to give it 5 stars for ecerything!
"A fantastic audible performance."
David Suchet's fantastic audio performance.
David Suchet's account of St Paul's letters take on an evener deeper meaning, in light of his affection for the saint.
I have found all of his audio performances highly engaging.
"5 stars for the greatest story ever told?!"
this is for the Acts-Revelation portion. I haven't heard an audio version of the bible before, but pleased to have access to a UK-English version. Mr Suchet reads it well, and I am noticing things I haven't before despite reading it several times.
My only criticism is of the format. It has chapter breaks, but doesn't appear to have breaks where the books are.
Here David Suchet reads from the "post-gospel" chapters and verse of the bible - i.e. St Pauls' s life and letters. He is an excellent narrator, the words flowing nicely. It was soothing listening to this in the car to and from work, a bit like thought for the day but better!
Only slight criticism is that the selection of parts of the bible includes some of the more obscure passages, which personally, are less useful than the obvious grandeur of Corinthians etc.
