In presenting The Life and Teaching of the Masters of the Far East, I wish to state that I was one of a research party of 11 persons that visited the Far East in 1894. During our stay - three and a half years - we contacted the Great Masters of the Himalayas, who aided us in the translation of the records, which was of great assistance in our research work. They permitted us to enter into their lives intimately and we were thus able to see the actual working of the great Law as demonstrated by them.

When two such teachers appeared before Gary Renard in 1992, he chose to listen to them (and ask a lot of impertinent questions). The result is this startling book: an extraordinary record of 17 mind-bending conversations that took place over nearly a decade, reorienting the author’s life.

really hard to follow on and hardly biblical - not that there were any claims of that but real forgiveness is only achieved through Jesus Christ - he's the one who sets us free from our unforgiveness and teaches us to love unconditionally.

Spiritual rather than evidence based
The author starts by comparing science-based medicine to energy-based medicine as if they were equally effective. As someone who sees using a logical and strict method to check that medicine is both safe and effective as important, he lost credibility with me straight up. I stopped listening when he suggested that if we accepted that 'everything happens for a reason' and that if we believe this then we could accept that we had a hand in becoming the victim. Perhaps he was about to justify and put boundaries around what he said but I didn't continue to hear it.
He is a good reader. Its just not my kind of book.
