Using gold as an example of this term, he traces the layers of this ancient currency from raw mined material, to gold coins, and finally to bank-issued gold certificates. In a groundbreaking manner, Bhatia offers a similar paradigm for the evolution of digital currencies.

Story
This book covers bitcoin’s blocksize war, which was waged from August 2015 to November 2017. On the surface, the battle was about the amount of data allowed in each bitcoin block, however it exposed much deeper issues, such as who controls bitcoin’s protocol rules. It is not possible to cover every twist and turn in the labyrinthine conflict or all the arguments, but I have provided a chronology of the most significant events. This book explores some of the major characters in the conflict and includes coverage, from both the front lines and behind the scenes.

In pursuit of saving time, Satoshi stumbled upon a discovery of a new, weightless, absolutely scarce element. The showstopper for each and every time thief. Element zero. Bitcoin.

Our current monetary system is broken. Inflation is rampant, our savings are being devalued, and it seems there is no hope for a solution. Fiat money is robbing us and our neighbors of our most valuable commodity - time. As Christians, we are called to love our neighbors, but how can we do that when the money we use is contributing to a system that is stealing from them? It may seem unconventional, but Bitcoin offers a solution to this problem. The Bible calls for a just and equal monetary system, free of fraud and deception - and Bitcoin fits the bill.

We live in an extraordinary time. Technological advances are happening at a rate faster than our ability to understand them, and in a world that moves faster than we can imagine, we cannot afford to stand still. These advances bring efficiency and abundance - and they are profoundly deflationary. Our economic systems were built for a pre-technology era when labor and capital were inextricably linked - an era that counted on growth and inflation and an era where we made money from inefficiency.

A masterpiece with a unique perspective in story telling about bitcoin- simply brilliant!
Having read countless books on bitcoin I was hoping to hear unique perspectives from Terence and I wasn’t disappointed.
Terence is articulate, succinct and is able to wrap complex topics in story telling so simple a five year old can understand.
The skill involved in doing this is testament to a career in story telling and Terence doesn’t disappoint.
Having thought I’d heard every take on bitcoin I was delighted to learn new things about bitcoin delivered in a digestible fashion. So much so, that in my orange pilling journey I’ve incorporated some of his stories in my day to day.
Of particular interest is the repricing and re-slicing of pizza analogy. Powerful concepts delivered in a story that a 5 year old will relate to.
This is a masterpiece and definitely one to add to the collection.
Thank you Terence!
