Creatives need this mind toolkit

It’s true that we are in a creative age where highly valued people earn with their mind, not their time. This book radically shifted my thinking, and opened me up to the concept of mind management. I’ve been consuming time management tools for as long as I can remember, to try and find the perfect way to manage my creative outcomes. I didn’t even question whether I was looking for the right tool or not, until this book. Actually what I should have been looking for is mind management tools.

I get easily distracted, am aware of the dopamine pull over my life after years of social media conditioning, and always thought I needed to manage the time I spent on these digital tools to guide and restrict my wandering mind. Wrong! So so wrong! This book opens you up to the concept that all time is not created equal. Hard to explain but it’s a revolutionary idea once you understand the concept. It talks about divergent thinking vs convergent thinking, as well as the effects of sleep inertia, deep work, and the costs of switching mental states consistently. This helps you understand how your mind works, if you struggle to manage your attention, and then have an internal McGregor boxing match with yourself on not achieving the outcomes you set out to achieve.

As a creative you will do away with a lot of time management tools after this book, and actually address the root of the problem no one has addressed clearly till now… which is mind management.

A must!!! I can managing my creative brain now!

It's as if all of my struggles with my brain's mental management were out on a stage and they finally know their roles. The suggested cascade system to catch ideas and event time was validating and simple. I can managing my creative brain now! Thank you!
