Publisher's Summary

Tess Blackwell was just an ordinary girl attending her first year of college in Blossom Falls, Pennsylvania. The stress of school and being on her own, accompanied by the loss of her parents at a young age, had caused her to have night terrors to the point of not being able to sleep. On one particular night, Tess decides to go for a walk to try to clear her head.

Upon reaching her local diner, she is met with a mysterious stranger named Schultz. Tess instantly feels a connection to this stranger and finds herself suddenly standing right in front of him. That's when she notices a strange mark on his arm, almost like a burn, but very detailed. Tess feels drawn to this symbol but doesn't understand why.

Seeking answers, she finds herself at the library the following day, where she again runs into Schultz. This time, however, Tess begins seeing the strange symbol in her mind, causing her to pass out. Schultz carries her home and waits for her to wake up. He knows why she sees the symbol in her head, but will she listen to what he has to say?
