Publisher's Summary

Leonard and Hungry Paul is the story of two friends who ordinarily would remain uncelebrated. It finds a value and specialness in them that is not immediately apparent and prompts the idea that maybe we could learn from the people that we overlook in life.

Leonard and Hungry Paul change the world differently to the rest of us: we try to change it by effort and force; they change it by discovering the small things they can do well and offering them to others.

Feel Good about simplicity

Insightful, heart-warming characters, who say a lot by not saying much. Had me smiling a lot.

Loved it

Wonderful book and performance. Had me in stitches. Lovely characters and found interest in the most banal of everyday things.

Quiet, Funny, Beautiful Story

This made my heart *so* happy.

A quiet, funny, beautiful book about two friends, contentment, & life. If you want a book that will make you smile, read this book. If you are feeling tired, or overwhelmed by life, you should read this.

Leonard is an over thinker, a 30-something year old man who writes children’s encyclopaedias.

Hungry Paul is an earnest, socially unaware 30-something year old who lives with his parents.

Within these two friends lie talents sometimes overlooked, but unique to each of them.

John Hopkins (narrator) captures the deadpan humour, the earnestness, & the quiet joy throughout.

While reading Leonard & Hungry Paul, I was often smiling, occasionally laughing, & regularly cheering for both.

Highly recommended.

Such pleasure

The perfect combination of a beautiful tale and an exceptional narrator. It is a gentle perceptive story of genuine humans living their lives. I couldn’t recommend it more highly

Silence is Golden

Just finished the book. I’m going to rate it as one of my all time favorites. Kindness, silence and authenticity are now my most cherished virtues. Can never again look at another board game without smiling from ear to ear.
