Publisher's Summary

With Paul Noble’s simple, relaxed approach you will learn in a way that suits you – without having to memorise long lists of words you won’t use; scribbling notes as you listen; or feeling frustrated. Instead, Paul will introduce you to the basics of the French language and guide you through over 12 hours of everyday scenarios – from simple situations like asking for directions and eating out to talking about yourself and how to master the different tenses – that are practical, fun, and applicable. Just listen, interact, and learn wherever you are.

Whatever your experience with languages, whether you’re an absolute beginner or someone with basic knowledge who wants to improve their ability, this is the course to get you speaking French quickly, confidently, and with no chance of failure.

A native-speaking French expert will help you to perfect your pronunciation as you progress through the course. You will learn a huge range of vocabulary in no time at all, and be able to quickly make your new knowledge work for you in a variety of everyday scenarios. A downloadable booklet is also included to use as a reference and revision tool.

Paul Noble left school unable to speak a language – having found that the traditional learning methods left him feeling ‘confused, incapable and unable to really say anything’. Determined that there must be a better way to learn, Paul spent years devising his own unique method of learning languages which cuts out all the grammar, all the memorisation, and all the stress. He began using his method to teach in his Language Institute and, thousands of students later, he prides himself on never having had a student fail.

This download contains the entire course – Parts 1, 2, and 3. To continue your language learning journey once you’ve completed this course, download Next Steps in French with Paul Noble for Intermediate Learners – Complete Course.

Highly recommend this!!

I learnt French for a few years at school and this is exponentially more effective. I am surprised at how much I remember and how much more confident I am at speaking French.

So helpful!

This provides such a great way to learn the basics of every day French interactions. It was so satisfying compared to other formal language learning I’ve encountered. Paul is a clear and caring teacher/narrator and the French assistant is lovely. Thank you so much.

Almost perfect

This is such a great lesson... i am only on chapter 3 and I have learnt do much already.
My only gripe is that the woman who speaks the phrases speaks way to quickly... it would be perfect if she slowed down and repeated the phrases twice every time

Actually enjoyable!

I've tried a few times to learn French, usually via smartphone app, but always fall off the wagon. Learning via something like Duolingo feels like you get words, but not phrases and patterns that you need to know to actually SPEAK French. Paul's course is easy to follow, and you feel real accomplishment along the way as you gain phrases and answer the questions.

Don't be put off by the slow-to-start introduction and first lesson; once you get going the pace is really good, and it's easy to pause here and there if you need more time to complete a phrase or remember the right verb form. Repeating a lesson really helps; I listen, then leave it entirely, and when I come back maybe a couple days later to relisten I'm blown away at how fluently I speak phrases that I often stumbled over first time around, and hadn't practiced since!

Overall this is a great leapfrog way to just. get. going. with speaking French; I've bought the next book, Next Steps, and from there shall make my own way by watching and reading French media. This shall help me tie in spoken French with written form. I will also force myself to journal daily in French, laborious as it shall be... once I know a little more.

Bonne chance!

Brilliant!!!

I found this course to be the best I have ever done. Paul speaks at just the right pace and speaks so clearly and plainly that one is able to absorb and process the information. I have studied French for many years and have always struggled with the grammar but the tricks and tips I picked up have pushed me over my hurdles. Highly recommend this course. - not sure how easy it would be for someone that has no prior experience with learning French and the conjugation of verbs - but it is a more pleasant way to learn.

The best way I've found to learn french

As someone who has struggled my entire life in a classroom setting, attempting to learn anything "by rote", or by listening and taking notes, this has been an awakening for me - not only have I been so excited about learning a language, seeing my progress with this approach has been nothing short of addictive.
If you have doubts about your memory, or comprehension via listening, this method has absolutely given me confidence in my ability.
I am so grateful to Paul Noble and his phenomenal linking of English to French, his ability to explain and articulate concepts in an easy to understand/remember format, and his follow-through on his initial promise to "remind you" of parts of the course from earlier - giving you the chance to forget, then remember. It's all been perfect. I CAN SPEAK FRENCH?! Woweeeeee!!
