L'ayant divisé en deux, il jeta un regard dans l'intérieur et aperçut avec surprise quelque chose de blanc. Il y plongea avec précaution le couteau, y enfonça un doigt :
"C'est solide ! fit-il à part soi, qu'est-ce que cela pourrait bien être ?"
Il enfonça encore une fois les doigts et en retira… un nez !…"
