Story
After seven years of bitter war, the end has come at last for the conflict known infamously as the Horus Heresy. Terra now lies within the Warmaster’s sights, the Throneworld and the seat of his father’s rule. Horus’ desire is nothing less than the death of the Emperor of Mankind and the utter subjugation of the Imperium. He has become the ascendant vessel of Chaos and amassed a terrible army with which to enact his will and vengeance. But the way to the Throne will be hard as the primarch Rogal Dorn, the Praetorian and protector of Terra, marshals the defences.

Even when they inhabited bodies of flesh, Trazyn the Infinite and Orikan the Diviner were polar opposites. Publisher's Summary
A Horus Heresy: Primarchs novel
Few among the legendary primarchs are as feared as Konrad Curze, the Night Haunter. Even before his fall to darkness, he was a sinister legend, a remorseless killer. This is his story.
Listen to it because:
The Night Haunter is a fascinating character, a man who could have been a hero, but for the daemons that plague him, the result of his nightmarish visions of a future he helps to create. Guy Haley delves into this lord of the night, in a story you'll never forget…
The story:
Of all the Emperor’s immortal sons, the primarchs, it is Konrad Curze whose legend is the darkest. Born in the shadows of Nostramo, a world of murderers, thieves and worse, is it any surprise that he became the figure of dread known only as the Night Haunter? Heed now the tragic story of the creature Konrad Curze, master of the Night Lords Legion, of how he became a monster and a weapon of terror. He who once served the Imperium saw the truth in a maddening universe and the hypocrisy of a loveless father, and embraced the only thing that made any sense - darkness. From the blood-soaked gutters of his hiveworld upbringing, to the last days of his ill-fated existence, Curze is a primarch like no other and his tale is one to chill the very bone....

A beautiful tragedy
A beautifully tragic tale, wonderfully narrated by Jonathan Keeble. A man scorned for fulfilling the purpose of his creation.

Good performance, reasonable story
The story gives a little more insight into Konrad Curze, Sevatar and the Night Lords. As always Jonathan Keeble's narration is brilliant. The story seemed a bit self indulgent in parts, especially towards the end, but that could also be seen as a reflection of the Night Haunter's psyche. It is an interesting read, but ultimately missable given its brevity. You won't really miss anything about the lore of the 8th Legion and its Primarch if you skip it.

A disturbing but brilliant story
Guy Haley has done an excellent job realising the motives and forces that shaped the Night Haunter. From talking to others, it seems the story still invokes feeling in some of the inevitability of his fall, while in others it invokes a feeling of missed opportunity. And for this Primarch it is not only fitting, but astonishingly difficult to achieve while keeping the Nighthaunter as the protagonist. Bloody well done!

Incredible
tgis book was incredible. I simply couldn't put down. it explores the fractured psyc of the most despised primarch, with voice acting that really puts you in the zone. the voice actor simply does a brilliant job voicing this person as they teether on the edge of total insanity and it pays off well
a MUST for 40k fans

The best of the primarch book
Genuinely enjoyed this book so much, Curze has never been one of my favourite Primarchs, until now. This whole story was brilliant and brilliantly told, the glimpses into Konrad and what he could have been are heartbreaking
