great for the layman, interesting and insightful.

If your self taught this will break some boundaries for you, as anything its a book of take away and not an instruction or advice. just assets in cementing and poking of derivatives.

Good and Bad

First I'll start with the content:

It's hard to fault it. You are getting detailed interviews with some of the most successful fund managers of the current era. This is good and bad - While I thoroughly enjoyed the original Market Wizards and the newest Unknown Market Wizards, I found the content expressed in this iteration to be more complex and less engaging than those other two. The terms and methodologies explained here are quite arcane and frankly, much of it went over my head. I also got the impression that some of the interviewees seemed a little guarded in their responses which makes sense as they don't want to give away too much of their 'edge'.

This isn't a criticism of the content, just a fair warning that it is less accessible than other books in the series and might not be as useful or applicable to much of the audience. Keeping in mind that these guys are usually fronting teams managing billions of dollars, the markets they trade in and the strategies they deploy are quite advanced.

Now on to production:
Unfortunately this is where this audiobook falls down. The single-reader narration while passable, is not as good as others I have listened to and the voices for the interviewer and the interviewee are sometimes mixed up by the reader which can be jarring.

Secondly the formatting of the files is useless. Everything is labelled as either 'Part X' or 'Chapter X'. There is no plain text description for who is being interviewed or what segment of the book you are listening to. There also appears to be no index of common terms as alluded to at points within the book.

The labelling of these Chapters should be given due diligence. When you are listening to hours and hours of technical subject matter, you need better file names than 'Chapter 14'. It detracts from the experience and usefulness of the book. I wish Audible would pick up their game in this department as I frequently encounter the same issue. .
