Shamanic wisdom reveals that your personal power comes from being in alignment - with yourself, others, your environment, and the dimensions of spirit. With The Power Path Training, expert teachers José and Lena Stevens offer a complete course in indigenous empowerment practices adapted for modern life. Drawn from the acclaimed curriculum they've taught for more than 25 years, this program gives you diverse and flexible techniques for accessing the "inner shaman" - the core spiritual self that fearlessly expresses your highest purpose in this world. The way of the shaman teaches you to "see through the heart", which cannot be deceived by fear or confusion. From this centered place, you’ll learn self-inquiry practices to find and heal your "power leaks" at the physical, psychological, and energetic levels. Over six immersive sessions, José and Lena offer time-tested practices for receiving wisdom and support from your ancestors, guides, the natural world, and the spiritual source from which all true power arises. Shamanic practice allows you to perceive the hidden flows of power in the world - but there is a price. "To walk this path," says José Stevens, "you must sacrifice false beliefs that can feel familiar and comfortable." If you are ready to break free from your limits and embrace a life of authenticity, connection, and meaning, then join these two extraordinary teachers for The Power Path Training.

"Changed My Life"
I liked the audio version because of the exercises. I also like the fact that I can listen to it when I am driving.
The book explains a little about how shamans think and what is important to them. It also explains about your relationship with yourself. That helped me a lot.
I really like the material in this book and presentation. Its good to go over some chapters at a later time - it allows one to understand more of the material presented.
I heard it many times. Very good speaker performance. It makes a very complex subject very clear and simple.
"Please do not breath into the microphone!"
Unfortunately if the readers ar not a professional readers and are breathing into the microphone and making so much noise that I can't concentrate on what they're saying.
"Good stuff for those interested in the topic."
Clear delivery and explanation; articulate and understandable. Doable exercises. Filled in some blanks for me.
Great book. The S's were KILLING my poor ear holes in some sections. Wish Sounds True or whoever 'mastered' these tracks would have taken the time and effort to soften all those sharp spots. Jose Luis Stevens is a very personable and knowledgeable teacher. Great for those new to the path or any shamanic practitioners wanting practical tools to bring new life and inspiration.
"A new way of being for me"
The book provided simple easy to follow ways of the shamanic path. A wonderful remembrance.
I loved José's other shorter audio book but this is dull I'm afraid. Especially the parts read by Lena. It's slow and ponderous and whilst does have some good content you really have to work to stick it out to get to it. I had to listen to Lena at at least 1.25x and sometimes more just to make her easier to listen too. Disappointing.
"Best book on the subject"
Highly recommended. One of the best books I've read on the subject. I wish I'd found this one firs because it is a great starter book. Got me hooked
"slow-starter, but worth persevering"
audio has the advantage that you can listen hands free and do the exercises as you hear them, so yeah, it's probably best for this material.
every time it got a bit corporate-feeling - which isn't all that often, just a bit toward the beginning and then again once or twice at the end) it really jarred for me, but the majority of the book was mercifully free of business talk. All in all it's a pretty sound and generous introduction to some grounded, practical principles of psychic hygiene and self-help (yep, that word).
they both have nice voices, but they are both a bit sloooowwwwwww at times here; maybe that's deliberate, to encourage us to slow down, but along with endless lists of examples, it can feel a bit like time-filler. so but while the first 5 ish (short) chapters, introducing shamanism, are a bit excruciatingly slow and lite for this urban, academically-trained European, after that it definitely gets interesting.
i wouldn't, it works best as audio in my opinion
if you're drawn to it, try it, and at least push through the first few exercises, then you may find something worthwhile here
I don't know much about Shamanism (this was to be my introduction!) but this book just feels like it's going nowhere. I had expected to be inspired and encouraged to see the world in a different way and learn about Shamanism and all that it entails, but I'm afraid to say that half way through, I gave up on the book!
The book just didn't excite and inspire me at all!
The narration was far too slow and ponderous! I get that Shamanism isn't something you should rush into, but not only was the narration too slow, the authors also took the long way round to say everything!!
I guess others have read/listened to the book and enjoyed it, but despite always trying not to be put off by poor narration, it just compounded the monotony for me! :-(
