While the basics are very important to learn and relearn; you might as well relisten to one of the similar programs you might have already bought.
I admire Tom Hopkins as a speaker and teacher of the art of sale, yet this program seems to have been put together somewhat in a hurry! 3 Stars at best
"Great review of the Art of Selling"
Good fundamental selling skills, basically this is the same book as the "Art of selling" that Tom write 20 years ago - the principles are still solid. I'm a little disappointed that the word "selling/sales" by its omission became a dirty word. Still, I learned how to sell 20 years ago listening to his principles and it's a great refresher.
The compound effect
I liked his singing
"Too Manipulative for Me"
in the book cover, you see that the author is not making a natural smile, and the tone of this book struck me the same way. Although caveats are given about helping people and not abusing these techniques, most of them are manipulative tricks. Plus I really didn't care for the slick encouragements given. I felt this author's speaking tone was performing / selling rather than speaking forthrightly. Some good insights remain, but much of it I'd heard before, and there was too much that I could never use myself, car salesman stuff. I prefer a more genuine dialogue in sales. I can still make my case fluently without losing nuance.
loved it, a great psychological aspect of sales presentation with the help a beginner needs. I look forward to listening again and again. ten times and beyound, here I come.
"Best sales program"
This book is a mandatory read for all sales professionals and leaders desiring excellent persuading techniques.
