I really enjoyed this. Although the focus is on fitness, it is also about life and tips to become successful through developing dedication and visualising what is possible. The important aspect was have to achieve the vision. Well done and I will have to listen to this again...and again.
"Good for the novice exercisor or trainer/coach"
Jim has very interesting and entertaining stories about his life. I particularly liked his stories about his military experience.
This book gives valuable insight into the struggles and mind set of a novice exerciser. This is invaluable information as you attempt to avoid the common pitfalls of fitness. It also is evaluable information to the new trainer helping him/her understand their clientele better.
Great accent which is appropriate as Jim is also from the U.K.

You can't get any better with this book. The author is a certified personal trainer. That's who you want to learn from.

The narration flows perfectly and nicely sets the tone for this book, from page one.
Its nice to realise that even the pros have moments where their motivation and commitment are tested. I'm not alone! I can relate to the intro particularity. I've skipped gym sessions in the past when the weather has looked a bit grim.. I too cycle to gym!.
The narrator was an excellent choice for this book. His voice not only creates vivid imagery but is also clear and concise during the more practical parts of the book
The books has 2 halves really and thats how I listened to it initially. I now have parts I jump to when I require a little 'pep talk'.
All in all, this is a nice little guide on mindset that can be revisited when things get tough.

It made me think a lot more about looking internally for results, instead of waiting for things to happen.
I was moved by the story in the parachute regiment because it clearly shows the limitations of the mind over the body.
Its a good easy listen that will make you think about some truths you may know, but have never put into practice. Some of it sounds a bit cliche, but that does not make it less true or inappropriate. It hits the nail on the head when it comes to the psychological warfare that gets to us all.
