Story
Akart's standalone novel, ARkStorm, is based on actual events. In 1861, a 43-day series of atmospheric rivers, huge flows of moisture carried from the tropics to the West Coast, turned large swaths of California into an inland sea. The intense rainstorms pounded the state unabated with little respite. Rivers became raging torrents that swept away entire communities, killing thousands. The State’s Central Valley turned a massive body of water 300-miles long and 20-miles wide.

Story
Several years ago, an ARkStorm, a once-in-a-thousand-years flood event caused by a series of intense atmospheric rivers, flooded the Central Valley of California from Sacramento to what was once Los Angeles. The weight of the water was equivalent to the volume generated by the Mississippi River times 22. It challenged an already fragile seismic system consisting of hundreds of active faults.

Publisher's Summary
Imagine a world where rising sea levels inundate coastal megacities. People flock to higher ground. Only, it was too late. Entire species became extinct in the blink of an eye, and conflicts are fought over dwindling resources.
It's not so difficult in the Geostorm series. International best-selling author Bobby Akart delivers up-all-night survival thrillers in The Geostorm Series, the story of a planet-changing phenomenon, a natural disaster brought about by the Earth itself.
After weeks of devastating extreme weather and unimaginable loss, the Boone family has arrived at a place of refuge. After the tempest, mankind still called the oceans by their former names. Only now, it was one giant ocean, littered with pieces of land like crumbs fallen from the sky.
Like their ancestors of centuries ago, the Boone family now faces a new challenge. They've survived some of the worst Mother Nature has to offer. Now, they must start over like the pioneers of old, with new threats lurking on every trail and behind every tree.

fantastic read
the series was fantastic and and always kept me in rivited so I bought boook after book.
My only issues were it was a bit Yank o centric it would have been nice to know how the pole shift effected other countries.
Also as an Aussie when Bobby writes " Sarah sits down and adjusted her fanny to get comfortable" that means something completely different to us than to Yanks I had it on in my car and my kids didn't stop laughing for half an hour
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
