*Would you give up on your dreams?*

"I've "Chosen" Another Favorite!"
....couldn't resist. :-)
I loved, LOVED both the story and performance, and was so happy to read book two is currently in production! I do hope it will be the same narrator, Michael Pauley, as he did an amazing job on this story. I absolutely loved the epilogue, the "dirty talk," and drums had me laughing out loud....well after I picked my chin up off the floor.....Wow!
I really enjoyed listening to this story, and liked the sound effects. Most were subtle and actually enhanced the story. The only issue I had was the long pause between the chapters, I kept checking to see if I accidently hit pause; however, I did get used to this fairly quickly and just learned to listen closely for the soft music introduction.
The story was well written, flowed nicely with some pretty intense moments, and had great character development. I loved stories where you get to know the characters as the plot and story unfolds. The attraction between Torkel and Faith was instant and there was plenty of steamy romance between them from day one.
I think fans of Evangeline Anderson's "Brides of Kindred" or Laurann Dohner''s "Cyborg Seduction" would enjoy this series. I will definitely be recommending this story and series to my friends, even the ones who don't listen to audiobooks.

"Pretty Intense Love Story! Another Great Romance!"
I really enjoyed the drama, suspense, and romance. Although, I was shocked with some of the way the story twisted. Perhaps a bit disappointed with Torkel's behavior. I don't want to give anything away so I'll not go into details.
Faith left earth to try to find a husband and build a family. She accepted money for choosing a specific male. Little did she know that she would fall in love but her mistake at accepting money would come back and haunt her.
The narrator did a great job bringing the story to life. The little special effects are awesome.

"I want ONE TOO!"
This was a very interesting audiobook because there were special sound effects woven into the narration. I just listened to this a second time. I love the action this is a fast paced story and was not predictable. The narrator is great and does the characters voices well. I almost forgot to leave feedback because I was caught up in this story a second time. Each time I listen to this audiobook I hear something new that I missed.
On a planet where men outnumber the women 10 to one having a man of your own is impossible. For $20,000 dollars women can pay to marry an alien - paid for by the woman not the alien. Faith/Faye waited 3 years to save up enough for the Singles Program (SP). Faye is denied by the SP agency once because she is 28 and too old, second time because the slots were full, finally on the 3rd try she is accepted.
Torkel has stood in the choosing grounds for 7 years without being chosen. Torkel looks different from the other men. He is not blond haired and fit…he is taller darker and one big hunk of muscle and good looks. He is the head of an elite group of warriors. His warrior team is faithful to their leader Torkel. Neither Faye nor Torkel expected to fall for each other. Faye is kidnapped. Torkel is betrayed and there are so many sub-plots. All I want to say to finish this review is…..Torkel can do a lap dance for me anytime (this will make sense when you hear the story).

"Excellent alien romance"
I really liked this story , I feel like I got to know the characters Torkel and his chosen, the Jutek warriors, even the slave traders it feels like a real place a real world which makes for a great story I've read this series before but wanted to re-read them because a new book just came out and I wanted to refresh my memory before reading the new one ! Wow second time with audio even better then the first-time the performance by Michael pauley was excellent really brought the characters to life . I'll be reading and listening again I hope Lindsey's rescue book 3 and book 4 will also be in audio book soon.I'm not sure the audio is better then the book but listening does improve the story. As I read and listen together I'm not a fair judge of one being better then the other.
I like that the heroine is open to the life she chose , she makes some stupid mistakes and so does the hero and yet they survive a horrible ordeal basically forgiving and helping each other. As far as the audio book is concerned my favorite part is the characters voices which made them more.......brings them to life excellent story excellent performance!!!!!!!!!
Not sure horrible with names but will try watching for in the future excellent job/ performance.
Love is an challenge especially in an alien world
"I loved the hot warrior and want one of my own!!"
Hot, Action, and Sweet!!
I liked the fact that they were both falling for each other but both wouldn't tell the other it made it frustrating but realistic to be honest. He was such a strong warrior yet filled with his own self doubt because of his race and what most of his people were known to be. It had some parallel to the real world that I could appreciate. I would listen to it again and again.
Lots of action, romance, and character development. I loved it! Can't wait for more in this series, I would for each Hero to get a story.
"HOT HOT HOT!!!"
Oh my goodness! This audiobook was so good! This is definitely one of the best ones that I've ever listen to. Full of romance and super steamy bits... and action and more action and more action... And did I mention more action? Oh and there is mystery too! This story had me guessing all the way to the end, and I'm actually really upset that the second book is not an audiobook yet. I was so looking forward to spending my credit on book 2. I really need to find out what happens to Lindsey! I guess I'll just have to wait (le sigh). I'm sorely tempted to buy the actual books, but I think I'd rather have Mr. Pauley read them to me. To Michelle Howard, please don't make me wait too long!
What makes this audiobook stand out, is the simple fact that there are sound effects alongside the narration. And then the narrator Mr. Michael Pauley does a superb job of bringing the story to life. I really hope that he is the narrator for the next two audiobooks. I'll be keeping an eye out for them because for sure I'm purchasing them.
Excellent, excellent audiobook. I highly recommend this one. It's a very entertaining listen. You will not regret it.
I absolutely loved this story. The backstory on the h/h were both interesting and pertinent and hearing Torkel's mother tell Faye about his history was very moving. I loved that I could actually feel the heartbreak that both Faye and Torkel went through as well as the betrayal felt by not only Torkel but really all of the Jutak warriors. The fact that they were able to forgive each other was a huge statement of their love. I understand why Torkel stopped looking for Faye (and I don't think this was unreasonable as some other reviewers have stated), but to be honest, I don't know if I could have been as understanding and forgiving of this as Faye. I mean I know she betrayed him but he was supposed to love her. Why wasn't she more hurt by this? I thought the action/suspense was great and at one point I actually had to put the book down and walk away before I could continue. I really liked the h/h and all of the characters were well drawn. I can't wait to hear what happens with Arak, Kyele and Jaron.
"Will have rooting for them till the end"
This is a well told story, but not for the faint of heart. You will get passed off as well as praise the resilience of love.
"What listening to"
I was thrilled with this unexpected love story. To know that one could find love outside of the Earth's atmosphere. For a woman to be protected coveted appreciated in loved is rare. I did not appreciate the music in between
I'm seriously impressed by Michelle Howard, I came across this author purely by trying someone new and I was hooked from the start. The story is fast paced at times, jam packed with passion, sex and strong characters.
I would put some of the qualities of this book akin to the Cyborg seduction series by Laurann Dohner
I'm looking forward to hearing the next instalment, the narrator is also new to me but he has a wonderful depth of voice and a varied range fabulous :-)
"This could have been a 5 star..."
This is written so well that you're there in the moment with every character. I had to remind myself to breathe so I'd be less keyed up at the high tension parts. The author's ability to suck you into the story is brilliant but...
Just once I'd like the woman to go straight to her guy and tell him everything. I also can't figure out how they could have feasibly wrangled an HEA. I can't say anymore without spoilers so I'll stop about the story there.
The narration lost a star with me because Torkel's voice and the villain's voice were sometimes hard to differentiate. This caused me no end of panic, especially at the end!
Those minor points aside, I will be devouring this series even though I'll have to switch from audio to Kindle. A great read!
