This was the first Isobelle Carmody book I ever read as a teenager (not realising that it was the second book in a series). The struggles of the misifts and the odd and problematic Elspeth was a character I really connected to. So nice to listen to this, read by Isobelle Carmody herself. I am trying to collect the whole set so I have something great to read on the way to work every day. :)

Revisiting this more than 30 years later has been so good! Reconnecting with characters that I’ve never forgotten was high on my to do list and it was an amazing bonus to hear it through the words of Isobelle Carmody.
