Nehemiah, the young son of a Jewish woman, a weaver from Jerusalem, is born and raised among the Jews who didn't return to Jerusalem from the Exile. Educated by Rabbi Kagba, one of the magi present at Jesus' birth thirty years earlier, Nehemiah grows up with the expectation of a soon-coming Messiah. Could the Yeshua of Nazareth, who is walking the earth, reportedly doing miracles, be that Messiah?
When young Nehemiah must travel the long caravan road to Jerusalem, he is charged with an unusual mission - to carry a mysterious object back to the holy city of Jerusalem...an object whose reappearance heralds the Messiah's arrival.
Nehemiah arrives in Jerusalem just as the final events of Jesus' earthly ministry are coming to a climax: The Feast of Dedication, the Triumphal Entry, the last cleansing of the Temple, and culminating at the Last Supper in the Upper Room. Only Nehemiah understands the true sacrifice that is to come as he makes the cup worthy of his Savior.

Yes. An eye-opener and another level of knowledge of Jesus' mission; another level of knowledge of those who loved and served him, and another level of the activities of the times. It's a great book!
Nehemiah. Because the Lord was with him his entire life.
No I've not, but I enjoyed his soothing voice.
"LOVE this book!"
The reader of the book brought the story to life. Brock & Brodie Thoene have written an excellent story. They truly bring to life what it might have been like to be in Jerusalem during Jesus's time.
Yes, it made me laugh and cry. But hearing of Jesus's final days. The writers and reader made it seem like I was there. Knowing what was to come for Jesus.. I was overwhelmed.
Get this book!! You won't be disapointed!!
The story itself is very good, a fictional account of a very real event that has great meaning to me as a Christian. The narrator just sounds so bored as he reads that I had a hard time engaging.
a beautiful portrayal of our Lord Jesus and the meaning of the cup of suffering he drank for us.
loved it so much..very insperational. it really touched my heart. I hope to find more books like this
"a great book for younger readers"
I wanted to love this book. I reader was to slow, I was able to speed him up to 1.20 without any distortion, that did help. I felt it dragged in a few places of the story. I learned a few things and it did help open my thoughts to the things I have read in the Bible. I know children would enjoy listening and I would recommend to any younger person this book.
"Beautifully done!Loved the Bible woven throughout!"
What a Blessing... Narration was great. The story stirred so many emotions. I'm sad that it is done!
"Take This Cup"
This was a beautiful written story. I loved it. Diffidently well worth reading or listening to it.
"story is great"
I love the characters in the story and their development
The sound track for both my husband and I was hard to hear. He could not hear it in the car. and I had to hook it up to my speaker to hear it in the house.
The Perfect Weaver
I loved the quiet calm I got from this story & the readers voice. Long, but enjoyable. Creative weaving of Biblical events.
