Known to the K2 Special Services team as Romeo, ex-Navy SEAL Jake Buchanan may spend his downtime living up to his nickname, but there's one woman who sets his heart racing like no one else can: Maria Kincaid. Unfortunately, his boss - her brother - has made it crystal clear that she's off-limits. Jake doesn't do commitment, while Maria is the type of woman who deserves a promise of forever. Yet Maria finds herself drawn to Jake, the man who stares at her with a desire she wishes he'd act on.
Still haunted by her horrific childhood, Maria goes searching for the father she's never met - and stumbles into a nightmarish experience. With her life in grave danger, she reaches out to Jake, her brother's second-in-command. Jake figures he can help Maria without giving in to temptation. But some things are easier said than done.

"Baaaaad male narrator"
His voice was a cross between anchorman Bill Curtis and Ward Cleaver from Leave It To Beaver.
I like the series and the mix of people with problems they solve with help from loved ones. interesting plot. sex scenes need a little more work or go the other way and stay more vague just my opinion will keep reading!
"Enjoyable story but terrible narration"
The story was entertaining but I hated the female narration- too nasal and just plain annoying.
"Narrator overdoes it."
So, the story was perfectly fine. Fairly normal for its sub genre.
The narrator, on the other hand, was fairly annoying. He definitely took a story that was a fairly even story and way over dramatized it.
"Humor romance adventure you laugh you cry"
Once I started reading the series I could not put these books down, I will be looking forward to more of her books they are fantastic! the writing was fun never a doll moment.you just enjoyed every book. there's always something going on.it keeps you on the edge of your chair there's romance, heartbreak, adventure, tragedy, well the sex isn't bad either. I recommend these books to everyone!
"Wth mikael naramore?"
Did he forget that he narrated the voice for Logan Kincaid in the first book? Suddenly book 2 and Logan's voice is weirdly high and extremely annoying and exceptionally unsexy. Seriously it made me want to smash my phone.
The rest of the story was good enough. Maria was a great female character I loved that she stuck to her guns with both her brother and her man.
I still laugh about her mom naming herself lovey dovey. Lol
"Surprising Love Story"
This a story from the beginning with keep you twisting with the different turns the book takes with the love and mystery unravels. Sandra Owens thanks for another great story can't wait to hear the rest of the series.
Great story! Murder, mystery, mayhem, a rescue from Egypt, love and lots of sex. Really exciting storyline.
Loved both Jake and Maria. It was nice to see Logan and Dani again. Really liked Saint, Tennessee and Elaine.
Loved her car Sally and her cat Mouse. Liked Detective Nolan, too.
And I loved to hate Fortunada, what a piece of crap he was. There was never a dull moment. I read Crazy for Her and really enjoyed it so I thought I’d give this one a try.
I could have done with a little less angst but it was still a great story.
I got this book free with my KindleUnlimited and the audible version for $1.99. What a deal.
As to the narrators: They really were wonderful. Especially Amy McFadden. She reads with a lot more emotions. She laughs, she cries, she whispers, and Mikael Naramore doesn't. His female voices are very good, he just needs to laugh, yell, bellow, whisper when it's called for.
