When life gives you lemons, it's time for shots of tequila.
That's my new saying in life, and trust me, life has handed me lots of lemons.
My name is Danielle DeChenne, and for 18 years I took every punch "destiny" threw at me. Now, I'm no longer a naive girl. Traumatic abuse will do that to you. I was forced to grow up too fast, and the one person I depended on - that gorgeous Marine, Zane - turned his back on me. So now I say screw the lemonade and just give me a bottle of Jack Daniel's, because I don't believe in destiny anymore.
There is no pre-destined path set out for each of us. That crap doesn't exist.
Sometimes bad things happen; it's just how the world works. It sucks, but you have to pick yourself up and get on with your life. Even if it's an impossible task.
I'm done sitting around and waiting for my life to change or something good to fall in my lap. It took me awhile to understand, but once I stopped being the doormat for destiny, it was time for me to take control. Now I decide where I go in life and what will happen. It won't always be pretty, it will sometimes hurt like hell, but I will make sure I live my life to the fullest.
Then the gorgeous Marine from my past returned with a vengeance - except this time, I was ready for him.
It's time to rewrite destiny.

Took a very long time to get to the MC but - not a real MC book.
Lots of uneccessary detail drags the story. I did finish it, but am only maybe going to listen to the next one, not right away though.
"Not your typical mc romance book"
I don't typically write reviews and I wouldn't want to give a bad review. I listen to audiobooks everyday so i honestly feel justified in this review. I feel mislead with this one. My favorite books are the mc romance. I can't get enough so when I saw this one I jumped on it. I have to say I was utterly disappointed. The majority of this book is about a high school girl. Definetly not a motorcycle club. Eventually there was a club but actually very little focus for me to say this is a mc romance. Does that mean it was a bad book.. No, but definently not what I was hoping for. Still debating if I'll continue with the rest of the series. I would also suggest using a female and a male narrator very few females can pull off a good male voice and when your writing about alpha males you need a strong male voice
"Be Prepared to Be Up Late!!"
I have to agree with the other people that submitted their reviews on this book, It was a great Love-story!! I started listening to it right before I went to bed and I ended up staying up until 3 am I could not put it down!!! I guess I have learned my lesson to never start a book before bedtime again...now I am having a difficult time staying awake at work today.
This was a great story from the beginning to the end and it was definitely worth the credit!!! This was my first book I have purchased from the author Shelly Morgan. I hope she continues to put more of her books on audible because I love her writing style!!
I am afraid to give anymore information on the book because I don't want to give out any spoilers on the book (if I haven't already done so), but I highly recommend this book to all.
"Ehh. Skip It."
Both the performance and storyline are lacking. the narrator makes characters that are supposed to be strong into simpering voices. Even the main female's internal dialogue voice would have been better than what was used for her interaction voice. The storyline was not fleshed out and unnatural to say the least, especially in the beginning. I would not recommend.
I found myself rolling my eyes multiple times. sometimes it was painful to listen to the "tough girl" dialogue. it was just too much. we get it, you're a strong female. I finished it but it was iffy at times.
"So much blah blah blah..."
I wanted to love this book but it didn't happen. There was so little substance to the characters. I want to cheer on love... and not cheer the final end of the book. The narrator was okay but the content she had to work with fell so short that I'm not really sure where to rank her performance. This book is definitely not worth a credit in my opinion.
"Meet The Sinners."
I've been in a rut. A bad one. Nothing could pull me out but I picked up this one and I don't know if I'm out of my rut, but this series is definitely keeping me company in this purgatory.
Since this is like the prologue to the Forsaken Sinners MC series, most of the story doesn't take place with the MC. Its not until the end that we start to meet the Sinners and the characters that will complete the series.
The story line was just interesting enough to pull me in and hold me there. Not too deep, not too light. A whole lot of Alpha goodness.
Triggers? Rape & close familial loss.
I Loved this book. It made me laugh and cry.
Can't wait for more!!!!!! ❤️ <3
"Story over all good!!!"
Story starts off real slow but in the middle it takes OFF and is VERY GOOD!!! Cant wait to start book# 2
"Didn't want to stop listening to go to sleep"
pain, tough, and belonging
When Zane came into the tattoo shop for the first time.
Loved the turmoil of the characters and struggle as well as the suspense of discovery that the characters went through. The feelings and thoughts of the characters was well described and displayed through out the story.
However, I was waiting for Zane to come out that he was an undercover cop or special ops guy: with the struggle to unfold on weather he would hurt the only people that kept Danny as family and if Zane would choose his job over her love for the club or would be too afraid to chance her love being enough for her to love him once he does his job. Along with that, I saw him murdering the first guy that raped Danny because of vengeance but that being what catapulted the attention of the cops to hire him cause he had an in to the club and them threatening him with jail time if he didn't go undercover.
But that kept me in suspense even more. Great job! I loved the story.
I'm sorry it happened.
I can't wait for the next book to come out. Maybe I have some of it right.....
"trials and life make you who you are "
everything taken from her and broken she leaves finding family with the sinners, working in the tattoo shop she found her own until her past in Zane walked in and her past , present and future come forward and. she realizes she can rewrite her destiny
No - the narration was monotone and boring - I didn't manage past the first two chapters
No unless they wanted to fall asleep
Pretty much anything would have been an improvement
Waste of a credit - would not buy any other Shelly Morgan books
