Story
What if Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy spoke honestly to each other in Kent and clarified any misconceptions prior to his making his proposal? What would happen if Mr. Bennet made an ill-fated attempt to resolve the issue of the entail only to create a much bigger problem for his family and Mrs. Bennet were even more of a shrew than in canon? What if Mr. Bennet had a secret reason to encourage the couple to marry quickly and before returning home? Will they ever be able to overcome the resentment that results from Mr. Bennet's manipulations or from Mrs. Bennet's subsequent behaviors?

A nasty surprise! 😳
- By Lesley Mac on 21-11-2019
Publisher's Summary
In Pride and Prejudice Jane Austen brought together one of the most beloved literary couples of all time - Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy. Now, Mr. Darcy's Decision continues the story of these passion-filled newlyweds as they enter London’s glamorous high society. This pause-resisting novel finds Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy entangled in the frivolity and ferocity of social intrigues. Although Elizabeth makes a powerful friend in the Marchioness of Englebury, the rivalry and jealousy among her ladyship’s prestigious clique threatens to destroy the success of her new marriage. Written in the style of Jane Austen, full of humor and sardonic wit, Mr. Darcy's Decision brings Regency society vividly to life and continues the romantic, sometimes tragic, stories of other popular Pride & Prejudice characters including Georgiana Darcy and Kitty Bennet.

how to improve the narration
Change the speed to 1.2x or 1.3x and the narration is much better - I think the narration must have been slowed down in production.

Improve the narration
Audible! Why would you allow a narration that is so horrendous. I don't know if the story is any good, I couldn't finish it. Apologies to Ms Lee but it's robotic and extremely difficult to engage with. It is irritating in the extreme. Do better at Audible.

without giveing too much away, I liked that the rake wasn't completely evil like he is in a lot of other fan fics. I liked the twists and thought Jane would approve.
