Fired from her job and exhausted from her miserable commute, the last thing Deana Jones needs when she gets home is to find an alien in her living room. But how else to explain the man who claims he is from beyond the stars? He says his name is Lorgin and that she is part of his celestial destiny. Deana thinks his reasoning is ridiculous, and she knows he's making an error of cosmic proportions. But his touch is electric, and Deana starts to wonder if maybe their passion isn't written in the stars....

"Don't judge it by the cover!"
I decided to try this book although the cover discouraged me. Much to my surprise I loved it. Has it got some dorky science fiction names, yes, but if you can look past a little dorkiness then it is a wonderful find! The sex scenes are great and the story lots of fun. Overall I really enjoyed it!
"It was ok"
Love scenes could have been better. The plot was ok but the beginning of the story was very strange and so unrealistic that you just had to laugh. I really can not imagine anyone putting themselves in that predicament. The author has a sense of humor but the plot was not believable in the beginning.
I would recommend this book mainly because the author had a sense of humor and she kept you laughing when you think that a book like this should not. The comedy saved this for me.
This was my first Rebecca Cook book but I have listened to more sense then and I like her performance a lot. I loved the fact that she did not take away from the book but she actually enhanced the book by far.
This book has a follow up book with Rejar and I absolutely love it.
Very funny!! Narrator enhances book. Nice flow.
"core romance of the 90's"
this is not a current genre. this book was a #1 seller in the 90's...so if you were a Dara Joy fan, then you waited so very long for this big seller...hence the other listener reviews.
This story was one of the big sellers of the original paranormal type writing. If you like a good old fashion paranormal core romance, then this is for you. I waited so long for these 3 books to be recorded...they did not disappoint a collector of paperback romance.
She is Ok. I was so glad to get these books, that I downloaded some of her other works when I first started audible. I only have a few I love, late great Anna fields, Natalie Ross, Gabra Zackman and Karen White. All do yummy male voices.
"A Bit Sloppy, but not Hopelessly Bad"
If this book was a movie, it would be a B movie. There were holes in the plot that stretched believability, even for sci-fi fantasy. The heroine seems amazingly obtuse at times. She ignores the obvious. The hero isn't a great communicator, but that's nothing new in romance novels of any kind. The villain isn't developed at all, which disappoints me since a good villain can make or break a book, and if I don't despise him or her, their eventual defeat can seem anticlimactic. Having said all that, like any B movie, if you can suspend belief, force yourself not to think too hard and just go along with the flow, it can make for a reasonably enjoyable way to pass the time. The book isn't bogged down by sex, which is a plus. The sex scenes are explicit (so if that offends, steer clear) and they are reasonably well done. The narrator wasn't spectacular, but she did a fairly good job. I wasn't terribly disappointed, but I don't know if I will bother with the other books if they come out on audio. Perhaps if I can get them on sale.....
"Crazy Cat Ladies Fantasy World"
Dara Joy blows the minds of all CCL Dara creates an image of a fantasy world and its inhabitants that caters to every dream or fantasy ever had by CCL's. This series has something for every CCL. Enjoy the trip.
"unique charters & steamy love scenes"
Learning about the many different charters and there talents plus a girl always appreciates a good love scene
The fresh approach Dara Joy took with her story telling and yes the steamy love scenes
I enjoy Dara Joys books becuase of humor and the rich charaters. yes the men are all over the top perfect gods whose only flaw is being too manley,,, but hey, its a romance novel so - grain of sale. To be honest i skim the sex scenes at best but enjoy the fluffy fun story. My main complaint with the audio version of this book is how WHINEY the voice the narrater spoke for Deanna was,,, she just whiiiines every blasted sentance and i keep hearing mispronouced words - didn't anyone think to stop the woman and re-record words she messed up? I appricate her attempt at doing different voices for the charaters,,, but i fail to be impressed. if her even funnier high energy and high intensity novels go audio i'm sure i'll get them, even if its the same actress, becuase i love listening to something light while i sculpt.
"Knight of a Trillion Stars"
This book was very intertaining. Very cleverly written. I can't wait to read the next book to see if it rates as high.
Save your money/credit and don't buy this book. I am only on chapter 2 but can't finish, it's so bad. I wish I could get a refund.
This book was horrible. I kept waiting for the book to improve but it didn't happen. As a romance there wasn't a love story, more like your going to be with me, I kidnapped you.The Sci-fi was ok. Don't waste your money and I'd like my time back for this book.
"Read this book over and over."
Rebecca Cook differentiates the charaters extremely well and I would recommend this book.
Wish there were more books available from Dara Joy and Rebecca Cook.
