Chase Halloway's father is the president of Atlas, the drug dealing motorcycle gang that terrorizes most of our desert town.
My stepfather turns out to be a rival drug dealer, and I'm pretty sure he killed my mom two years ago.
I'm not supposed to fall in love with Chase. He's not supposed to know I even exist.
But when he finds me, he can't let go.
And when I find myself in his arms?
I hold tight.
I have to.
Because if I don't, I might just die. With or without him.

"What A Surprise!"
I knew when I started this story, it was going to end on a cliffhanger (and a fairly intense one at that), and the story is actually told over three short audiobooks, which I was ok with this since I knew this up front. However, what surprised me is how much I liked the first story in the series, and how much I am looking forward to listening to the other two books.
The plot moves at a steady pace, and has a Romeo and Juliet feel, because Chase and Allie, should not to be together. They both have fathers for rival MC's and being together will cause friction between the MC's. However, they are both attracted to each other and Chase pursues Allie.
Tanya Eby is great narrator, and this is the second book I've listen too today that was narrated by her. She does an EXCELLENT job narrating different stories and genres! Kudos Tanya!

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. I found this book very exciting. My first time with this author and I find Meli has all the characteristics of a great author. She gives you all the aspects of a great book that I like. She sets the story up from the first and grabs you and doesn't let go. She builds the story, the characters, the suspense, the romance to a point you become absorbed. I was disappointed when the story ended, but I jumped into the next one immediately. Just so I could follow Chase and Allie's relationship. Tanya Eby did an excellent job with the characters. She has a knack for distinguishing the male and female voices as well as the inflection in her voice to represent the mood and actions of the characters. Love this book!
"Love a good MC romance!"
I received a copy of Finding Allie by Meli Raine for free in exchange for my honest review.
I love, love, love MC romance. This one is no different. Such an instantly steamy story between the main characters, Chase and Allie. I will be listening to part two very quickly. I can't wait to find out what happens next!
"Good Listen, but a cliffhanger"
I listened to this book for a book discussion, and went into it no expectations. Typically the MC genre of romance books is not my thing. I thought this book was well done, and really enjoyed Tanya Eby's performance. What I did not like about this book was the cliffhanger ending. My review is not a synopsis of the book, but rather my opinion of it. The book came across as more young adult than new adult. I enjoyed some of the unexpected twists in this book.
"Motorcycle Club I Love!"
Redemption for the MC crowd! I had decided to stop listening to my motorcycle club books because of the over-the-top graphic degradation of women, language and overall filth. I always felt like I needed a shower when I finished one (see my other reviews.)
However, in rides Meli Raine with her fantastic performer, Tanya Eby to save the day.
Ellie was raised by her stepfather who owns a local bar. One night an MC=Motorcycle Club with all of their scary looking members. Wait a minute, there is one member who is young, sexy, and handsomes! His name is Chase Holloway and his dad, the president of Atlas an MC in the area. Despite fighting it, Allie & Chase are magnetically drawn to one another. No matter how they try, they cannot deny the pull.
What obstacles will they face in this THREE part series? Will they be able to overcome their own personal heartache without adding to one another's burdens? And what the heck is going to happen if Allie's stepfather and Chase's dad find out that they are together?
This book isn't without strong language or mature themes but it is toned way down and it doesn't take away from the story at all.
Tanya Eby is a wonderful performer. Her ability to perform male characters as well as female characters is important to me. She is able to do it seamlessly. Thank you and great job.

"This series is off to a great start"
I really enjoyed the innocence about this story. Allie is sweet and sheltered. Having grown up under the rule of her overbearing stepfather, now she is craving freedom. She is ready to spread her wings and fly. Chase Halloway enters Allie’s world in perfect timing. He’s cool, calm and confident. Like Allie, his world is planned out for him and he wants to break free.
I loved the immediate attraction these two had. They have a silent understanding about their hopes and dreams. Going after what they want in life. Can they be each other’s salvation?
The soft and sultry grumble of Tanya Eby’s voice was the perfect portrayal. I thoroughly enjoyed her narration telling Alli's story with a little bit of grit behind each word.
I look forward to continuing this series.
"Romance with a little MC Club Edge"
Audiobook - narration, Tanya Eby, pretty good. She's a good storyteller with an emotive voice. She does males characters really well too!
Allie's mom died a couple years ago, and all she wants is to move to LA to be with her sister and pursue a career in acting, so she works for her Step-father Jeff in his dive bar. She hides away her tips trying to save enough money for her dream.
But, all is not as it seems, and after Allie meets the most amazing sexy biker who enters the bar, everything spins in her head and in her life.
Chase Holloway's father is the prez of the Atlas motorcycle gang and he too feels that instant connection to Allie. He also has a dream, and it is NOT, to continue in his father's footsteps.
They enter into a forbidden relationship and Chase begins to enlighten Allie about some of the secrets her Step-father has been keeping from her. Secrets that definitely affect her! Secrets that change everything she's thought she knew about her life.
Enjoyed this! It's kind of a fast insta-lovey kind of thing, but there's some good MC action and club politics that add some edge. Would definitely continue series!

Overall I enjoyed the story...know that this is meant to be read/listened to as a series so it ends in a cliffhanger. The narrator did a great job and the story was well written. I only have one complaint and unfortunately it kind of ruined the audiobook for me. The main characters age. This book isn't under young adult but it might as well be. I understand that being 18 is of age but I'm into my thirties and it just rubbed me wrong. I continued to tell myself she was really 21 as that felt like a safer number. I'm not a prude by any means either but for whatever reason I just got hung up on this one detail. The book is still worth the credit and I still recommend it.

This is my first time listening to a book by this author. This biker series is off to a good start. There's an instant love between Chase and Allie and rival drug dealers. It's a romance with some suspense mixed and there is a cliffhanger at the end. Overall a good MC biker book that has me wanting to follow Chase and Allie into book 2.
