Awe-inspiring as usual
I can't begin to express how much of an impact Lord Raymond has had upon my life. Equal in quality to ANY other fantasy author. The man has an incredible attention to detail which puts the imagination into overdrive while effortlessly placing your mindseye into the story. It's as if I'm viewing the whole thing from within. Or maybe, he just kicks ass and I've taken far too many....... Substances. Regardless, genius, legend, epic!cheers Mr Feist.

Great storyline and performance
The storyline is interesting and intriguing with some twists and turns amidst magic, action and fantastical worlds brimming with imagination and strange creatures. The author uses a combination of ancient mythology, New Age influences and his own version of imaginary constructs to build an eschatology. The author obviously struggles with spirtual reality. The higher moral values are certainly an improvement on the last two volumes. I was beginning to see Kasper, the Duke as a projection of the author's own self for most of the third volume is centered on him.

Simply brilliant
I love the way feist writes. Always leaving the details to the reader while focussing on the main points lets the listener create the image of the story in our own mind. The set piece scenes reinforce the characters development in a way that even the most despicable characters become ones that you are glad to see return in the plot.
Strongly recommend. I hope there's a tv series upcoming with these books.
The reader is great also, alternating the voices so you can easily slip into the world without having to closely follow the conversations. Great for if you are doing something which sporadically detaches your concentration from the audiobook. Definitely recommend a purchase!!!

Confusing voices in first act.
In the first act of the story, Kasper sounded very similar to other characters and made it difficult to follow at times. Story was pretty good but for a third book to a trilogy offered no explaination why tal was chosen to be the talon of his people.
