If a Maddox boy falls in love, he loves forever. But what if he didn't love you first?
No-nonsense Liis Lindy is an agent of the FBI. Deciding she is married only to her job, she breaks off her engagement and transfers from Chicago to the field office in San Diego. She loves her desk. She is committed to her laptop. She dreams of promotions and shaking hands with the director after cracking an impossible case.
Special Agent in Charge Thomas Maddox is arrogant, unforgiving, and ruthless. He is tasked with putting away some of the world's toughest criminals, and he is one of the best the bureau has to offer. Though, as many lives as he's saved, there is one that is beyond his reach. Younger brother Travis is faced with prison time for his involvement in a basement fire that killed dozens of college students, and the media want a conviction. Travis' only savior is his unusual tie to the mob. In a deal that will spare his brother, Thomas has agreed to recruit Travis into the FBI.
Liis is stubborn and defiant yet somehow softens Thomas' rough edges, making her the perfect agent to accompany him to the ceremony. Posing as a couple, they must travel to Travis and Abby's beach vow renewal and give him the news, but when the pretending ends, she finds herself wondering if they were pretending at all.
In the second installment of the Maddox Brothers books, experience firsthand the mysterious world of the elusive Thomas Maddox and how good love can be when you're not the first but the last.

"Loving this Series!"
I really love these books! Thomas & Liis are an awesome tough couple. The characters were great and the story line too. I would have liked a little more steam but it didn't change my rating. I liked how that stories overlap and we get little visits from the brothers! The narration was really good too!
I have always loved Thomas but listening to his and Liis story just made me love them both more. Meghan Wolf did an amazing job narrating this story and did an exceptional job giving you the emotions from the characters throughout the book. I wish it never ended because I wanted to hear more but all great things have an ending. This ending was great and I need more of Thomas and Liis.
"the more l know about this family"
the more l fall in love with them all. It's really fascinating. Cant get enough
"Great story line... then fell flat"
I love the Maddox series and really loved this book until around hour 7. The story line fell flat and the was missing. Up until then this was my favorite, behind Beautiful Disaster.
"Dear gawd Liis..."
I haaaated the way this was narrated. She always made every sentence. Sound like a question, with a half British half robot tone. The story was good and of course I loved Thomas but dear gawd Liis. Get your shit together! I'm so sick of these needy conflicted women. Thomas says he wants to kiss you, you kiss him. Gah!
"A good read while doing the dishes"
I loved Jamies first book a beautiful disaster. This is why I continued with the brothers stories. Beautiful redemption is the story of the oldest Madox brother, Thomas James Madox aka T.J. his story picks up right after the first book in the Madox brothers series. Thomas is moving on from losing the woman he loved to this younger brother Trevor and dealing with a case involving his other younger brother Travis when he meet agent Leez. agent leez has commitment issues, which to me really was a big turn off to want to continue the book but because I like the Madox brothers a lot I kept hearing the book. it's not a bad book. I felt it lacked a bit of effort on the part of the author. it felt like an after thought from the first book (Travis story) and second book (Trevors story) with a bit of a wimpy agent Leez thrown in it. I mean she come off as a strong independent woman but they kill it with her weak "I'm scared to be with him so I'm just going to keep running away but then come back over and over again) lame but like I said I kept hearing it because I like the Madox brothers. I mean it not a bad background noise for when cleaning your house type of thing.
"This Girl is the Worst"
I have always liked Jamie McGuire but this book did not do it for me. The main character is way too stubborn. I did not like the narrator at all, I will steer clear of her in the future.
The main character is very annoying. I was hoping Thomas would move on.
"Ok book but lacking love spark"
This book had the promise of suspense and love but unfortunately fell flat. I listen to roughly 4-5 books a week and nothing makes me happier when the H and h have the love spark and it sucks you in. This book lacked the spark, there was no true love flame the whole way through I thought the h was too cold and the H was on a rebound which to me felt like they just ended up together for convenience not true love.
I love beautiful disaster and walking disaster because you feel both travis's and abbey's love doing their heads in the whole book but this one fell flat.
The narration was ok, at times I swear I heard a slight accent but seconds later it was gone, a few times the men spoke like the same voice as the women.
I would still read Jamie's books as I think she is a wonderful author. I just hope there is more combustion between main characters in the next ones I do read
I enjoyed the performance of the narrator she was engaging and brought a book that I already loved to life very well.
I love Thomas he is brooding and bull headed but cares deeply for those in his life.
I have not but I would get an audiobook because she is the narrator.
It made me laugh a few times but most Jamie McGuire books do.
Thank you for an audiobook that is worth the money.
The characters were textured and so interesting. I enjoyed their complex personalities. I only wished that the author had developed the last few chapters. I wanted more details about events taking place in the last chapters. I want to know more about the time between the last chapter and the epilogue. I need details!!
"never let's me down"
absolutely gripping. love your stories jamie hooked from a beautiful disaster 100% recommended to read
"Another great story from Jamie McGuire"
I fell in love with both characters in this book, pleasure to listen to, some really funny laugh out loud moments from some of the one liners. Can not wait to read the rest. Enjoy
