#1 New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Nora Roberts enchants again with this beloved classic about the passionate and headstrong MacGregor family.
Creative, compelling, unconventional - Shelby Campbell was unlike any woman Senator Alan MacGregor had ever known. The cynical politician found himself falling in love with the spirited beauty, though she kept him at arm's length. But Alan was determined and nothing was going to keep him from getting what he wanted - not even the centuries-old feud between the MacGregors and Campbells....

""Campbell's, Mindless Pagans!""
yes, if you love old classic love stories from N.R. These were written in the 90's so they just make you have a big smile on your face as you listen.
The McGregor of course! Alan is a gentleman of the first water and Shelby is as full of life and N.R. brings warm fuzzes as she continues to illustrate in heart warming dialogue the love in this family. Alan is yummy as a Senator.
I am a great fan of A.D. She does a yummy male voice which makes me continue to buy her reads. You may have to get use to her female voice but her male voices more than make up for anything you may not like. She is superb in this series.
I love any scene when the McGregor has dialogue. Author makes his dialogue so endearing that you just have a big smile on your face.
This is just one in the MacGregor Series. Nora Roberts always writes a good story. I look forward to the rest.
"LOVE the MacGregors"
Yes, strong characters, great plot, romantic. This is the kind of series that you can't wait till the next book.
Father McGregor of course :) He adds salt to the story in an endearing way. Love his home.
Yes this is my third book in this series. They are all good.
Both, loved the quirky characters.
This was a well written book and easy to follow with the storyline.
I wish there was just a little more added to the ending but I can say it did leave me begging for more!
Love these books. So glad they finally came to Audible! This is my favorite Nora Roberts series.
"Waited for the best part...it never came"
Narrator over dramatic. Story kind of flat. I was really hoping for more. It was quite disappointing as most of Nora Roberts stories that seem to have some kind of leading up and then climax. This one was all leading up and then nothing there was no real dramatic exciting part to the story it was just over.
"great love story Loved it, characters were honest"
The story line was strong and interesting, Would tell everybody to. read and enjoy, enjoy.
"short and sweet"
it was fine predictable and got me on down the road safely during a spring trip. typical nora Roberts
"Another great story"
Nora Roberts. never disappoints! My absolute favorite author, her stories and the narration, places you in the moment of the events unfolding. it's takes you on a journey. I love losing myself in her stories.
"Long time Fan"
As always the best ever . Can't wait to the other. Another five-star .
After listening to another book where the narrator totally ruined the book for me this book had me appreciate all the more how a good narrator can make a book for you. The story was very good Alan is the one to get his own book now but he falls for a Campbell much to Daniels disgust until he finds out that she won't marry his son.
