What the Critics Say

"L'Amour never writes with less than a saddle creak in his sentences and more often with a desert heat wave boiling up from a sun-baked paragraph. A master storyteller." (Kirkus Reviews)

    "Trent"

Not Lamour's best work, but then the narrator leaves a lot to be desired. Changes of inflection in the middle of a sentence makes listening difficult. His attempts to dramatize are usually overdone. He does have a good voice, but is NOT a good reader.

    "Bad Narrator"

Louis L'Amour is great, but the narrator of this particular book is terrible. I'd definitely look for another L'Amour before this one.

    "A Great Book"

"Kilkenny" is a GREAT character, one of Louis LAmour's best. I love the narrators (John Tuska) voice, it is perfect for western books. I would highly recommended this book to any one who loves a good western adventure.... You wont be disappointed :)
