Story
The Battle of Serenity Valley was the turning point that led the Independents to their defeat at the hands of the Alliance. Yet the Browncoats had held the valley for weeks against all odds, before being ordered to lay down their arms. Command stated they refused to send in airpower because the ground war was "too hot". But the soldiers who were there insist that was not true.... While picking up a new cargo on Persephone, Captain Malcolm Reynolds is kidnapped by a bunch of embittered veteran Browncoats who suspect him of sabotaging the Independents during the war.

As Wulfric pursues Adalhaid's Blood Debt, he soon learns that the path to revenge is never easy. The Blood Debt: A blade fit for a hero. An army for a tyrant. Particularly as it’s carried though space on the back of a giant turtle (sex unknown). It plays by different rules. But then, some things are the same everywhere. The Disc’s very existence is about to be threatened by a strange new blight: the world’s first tourist, upon whose survival rests the peace and prosperity of the land.

Publisher's Summary
A chilling and dark fantasy from bestselling author Raymond E. Feist.
Successful screenwriter Phil Hastings decides to move his family from sunny California to a ramshackle farmhouse in New York State. The idea is to take some time out, relax, and pick up the threads of his career as a novelist. Good plan, bad choice. The place they choose is surrounded by ancient woodland. The house they choose is the centrepoint of a centuries-old evil intent on making its presence felt to intruders.

Faerie Tale
After having read all of Raymond E Feist’s works with Faerie Tale being the last after all the Riftwar Cycle books and the Firemane Saga series, I am blown away by his ability to spin a fantastic tale and create imagery in print that allows one’s imagination to interpret his words with clarity.
A master story teller at the height of his powers.

Great story!
After a slightly slow start, the story became quite compelling, with well developed characters, a well paced, interesting plot and a deliciously suspenseful and mysterious tone throughout. Recommend!
