Determined to find the human traffickers preying on Shadowlands' submissives, Master Raoul gets himself invited to a small slave auction. Once informed, the FBI orders him to reject the limited choices so the slavers will invite him to the big auction. To Raoul's shock, one of the slaves is the kidnapped friend of a Shadowlands sub. She has a scarred body...and an unbroken spirit. He can't leave her behind. Ruining the FBI's carefully laid plans, he buys her.
Kimberly's freedom has come at a devastating price: the other women are still slaves. An FBI raid is their only hope for rescue. Desperate to help the Feds locate the big auction, she agrees to pose as Master Raoul's slave. Wearing a collar again is terrifying, but under the powerful dominant's care, Kim starts to heal and then to blossom. This is what she's been drawn to - and fled from - her entire life.
She escaped the slavers who captured her body - can she escape the master who's captured her heart?

If you're into a little suspense and a little kink, you will love this book. The new format, having a female voice for the female characters really made a difference for me with this book.
Kimberly is performed wonderfully by Erin deWard. She gives a great performance, showing the spirit of Kim, her fears and her triumphs.
I love Noahs' voice, but he doesn't do it for me with in the female voice department. Love, love, love this new format.
"i do not like Erin;s voice"
i keep bying these books. I really like the way they are read but not the narrators. really makes it hard to listen to.
"Cherise Sinclair is always a 1 click"
Noah Michael Levine and Erin deWard did a wonderful job on the narration of this book.
"Should have known better....Nonsensical BDSM"
Nothing, this story was nonsense. It is clearly intended for people other than I.
The performances were fine, the dialogue was silly. "I'm going to push you, and you are going to take it for me....That's my good girl...", "Take this pain for me...." "Do I trust your surrender enough to push your limits as I should..." (there was more but I couldn't hear it over the sound of my retching...)
I liked the dog. Everyone else can go....
Clearly intended for someone other than I, don't listen to this book unless you enjoy silly relationships with weak women (who are purported to be strong because they can surrender all responsibility for their lives to their 'masters'). You also need to be willing to believe in supermen who can read a women's every thought, sadistic bastards who believe causing pain shows their love and yet are riddled with angst that their victims might not 'need' them enough. Nauseating? Revolting? Ridiculous?
"Female narrator is a great addition!"
Cherise Sinclair's stories and characters are strong and well developed. Having a female narrator is a great addition to an always fabulous performance.
"Sexy and awesome!"
I've been reading this series since I got my first kindle. The audio versions are even better. Levine has done a really good job with this series, and the addition of Erin Deward has brought it to a whole new level. These two have an amazingly hot chemistry, guaranteed to get your 'juices ' flowing! Hot! Hot! Hot!
this book was fantastic I couldn't put it down I highly recommend it to everyone and the narrative was brilliant as well
This was a very good listen. The narrators did a great job. Although it did sound like they were chewing gum, ha. And Erin deWard was difficult to hear especially if she was muttering or whispering.
Though this maybe fiction it was a good representation of SSC. It was great to see that the positive of a real relationship was shown and that it takes real communications to make this type of relationship work. How one help heal the trauma of a nightmare and help guide and protect how she was.
"Each story gets better"
The Shadowlands are one of my favorite storylines. This story of Master Raoul and Kimberly is amazing. At times it was hard to breathe it was so intense. The narrators were spot on. Simply wonderful.
"OVERALL GREAT PERFORMANCE AND STORY"
If you haven't checked our Cherise Sinclair yet. I recommend starting with book one of the Shadowlands. Cherise never let's you down not matter what she writes. Nolan Levine and Erin deward brings the story to life. Command and Collar is about an FBI investigation of human trafficking. This is an amazing story that will bring out all your emotions. As always Cherise leaves you with a feel good ending and yearning for more. Do yourself a favor and hangout in the Shadowlands for awhile.
"Her best in my mind and I have read all of them!"
I have the book so I read and listen to her work many times over......so that is a definite yes!
I think when she realizes that even though she is apart from Raoul he still thinks of her and is still trying to protect her. It is so heartwarming. I cannot say more as I do not want to spoil it for you! You will know which part I mean...it's so touching.
Yes but i had to break it into two...work got in the way!
All of her work is really good but this is my favorite. It manages to throw you through so many emotions all at the same time so be prepared to feel angry, disgusted and then hope starts to creep in before it becomes much stronger. There is strength in the main characters and it is such a touching story that it it can only be given 5 full stars on all counts. Also....I have never written a review before but I felt compelled to let you all know how good this story is...be prepared to be put through the mill though...but in a good way!! Happy listening!!One thing I will say is that it may be best for you to read her books in order as they do support each other and it is nice to see familiar characters all the way through.
What a fantastic audio book. A great story taking us on a journey to find love from the depths of pain. Raoul sounds exactly as I imagined and that accent is so sexy. The mix of male and female voices only enhances the experience. Looking forward to more from this talented duo,
The voice for Kim was to soft. can't hear it if you have headphones on less you turn it up but then the other voices are deafening.
