Bald darauf werden Terraner und Arkoniden in die Kämpfe verwickelt. Die seltsam aussehenden Raumschiffe, von den Menschen "Fragmentraumer" genannt, gehören einer rätselhaften, anscheinend alles Organische hassenden Robotzivilisation an.
Es sind die Posbis positronisch-biologische Wesen. Während Perry Rhodan dem Rätsel der Posbis auf der Spur ist, überschwemmt eine Invasionsflotte von Fragmentraumern den Kugelsternhaufen M 13 und droht Arkon zu vernichten.
