Publisher's Summary

It's not just secrets buried at Wild Meadows.

For as long as they can remember, Jessica, Norah and Alicia have been told how lucky they are. Rescued from family tragedies and raised by a loving foster mother on an idyllic farming estate, they were given an elusive second chance of a happy family life.

But their childhood wasn't the fairy tale everyone thinks it was. And when a body is discovered under the home they grew up in, the foster sisters find themselves thrust into the spotlight as key witnesses. Or are they prime suspects?

A thrilling story by New York Times bestselling author Sally Hepworth of sisterhood, secrets, love and murder.

Critic Reviews

'Sally Hepworth's Darling Girls is the kind of story that grabs you hard and doesn't let go. Easily one of the best books I've read all year. An absolute page-turner from first word to last, and a story told with wit and compassion. It's got HUGE HIT written all over it, and I'm going to be pressing it into the hands of everyone I know. A superb and haunting mystery.' Jane Harper

Twist

Binged this one. Really hooked me and I needed to know the outcome. One part was a bit predictable quite early on. But still enjoyed.

good aussie crime / mystery story

Great story, memorable character about Australian foster care system. The psychology of the characters well rounded, sometimes too well, no loose ends. I want to see the movie now ☺️ Highly entertaining. Won’t win the Pulitzer, but definitely a page turner.

As good as The Good Sister

Twists and turns that kept me guessing. I was hooked right from the start. Finished the whole thing in 4 days (could have been 2).
The narrator did a great job, and I loved the aussie accent. I definitely felt like I had visited Port Agatha before from the way it was portrayed.
New equal favourite with the Good Sister.

Twists kept me guessing

Kept me guessing right till the end!
A little light on character development but the storyline was unusual and well worth the listen. Great for a long drive or lazy weekend. Narration was good.
