You love your family. They make you feel safe. You trust them.
But should you?
When 15-year-old Billy Wilkinson goes missing in the middle of the night, his mother, Claire, blames herself. She's not the only one. There isn't a single member of Billy's family who doesn't feel guilty. But the Wilkinsons are so used to keeping secrets from one another that it isn't until six months later, after an appeal for information goes horribly wrong, that the truth begins to surface.
Claire is sure of two things: that Billy is still alive and that her friends and family had nothing to do with his disappearance.
A mother's instinct is never wrong. Or is it?

This is a really good book and a great listen, I had to carry on listening in every spare moment. It all came together brilliantly, C.L. Taylor is a marvellous author and Clare Corbett is a fabulous narrator
First audio book! Couldn't stop listening, kept guessing right til the end. Would def recommend a listen
This was amazing, gripping and total worth a read or a listen. She's a fantastic author.
"could not stoo listening"
I bought this souley due to the narrator if i m being honest. I find her easy to listen to and she brings characters to life. She did not dissapoint and neither did the story.
When I first started to listen I found the text dialogues a bit irratating however they were pivotal to this story which was a real who dunnit.
i finished in two sittings. I literally couldn't stop listening.
"good story excellent narration"

"Real page turner!"
An author I hadn't previously come across, but this book gripped me from page 1. The vehicle of using the amnesia episodes, really helped to prolong the tension. I loved it!
loved it. It was full of twists and kept you guessing would recommend it! gripping
"Not my cup of tea - mislabelled genre."
Should a writer write for themselves or for their audience?
I can't help feeling that this one wrote for herself, and she obviously wanted an over descriptive, laboured story of the grief of a dysfunctional family. And it may be cherished by readers looking for that.
But it's wrong to list it as a "thriller" or "mystery". It's far from those.
As such it was a real disappointment.
And I'm afraid the authors "postscript" was just a little self-indulgent.
Loved it, full of suspense and twists!! This author has great books the 3rd I have read by the author
