Victor is the perfect killer. He has no past. He will stop at nothing. And he can find you anywhere. In sweltering Algiers, ultra-efficient hitman Victor executes a fellow assassin. But when the CIA comes calling, Victor must pose as his victim to identify the dead man's next mark--a mission that takes him across Europe to the bloody streets of Rome.
Working alongside a group of vicious mercenaries, Victor faces an impossible choice: to do what's right or to sacrifice the only thing he cares about: his life.
Full of white-hot tension and edge-of-the-seat action, The Game is the thrilling follow-up to The Hunter and The Enemy.

Most definitely. However, I would recommended reading (listening to) the early books first. While it isn't essential, knowing the back story will certainly add to the enjoyment.
It's never practical for me to find 10 hours plus to listen in one sitting but the story line certainly encouraged me to keep going back to the book whenever possible
A bit less actipn in this book as some of the other Victor books with more intrigue and layers to the story but well narrated (love the different voices Daniel Philpot assigns each character). A story that I listened to every chance I got and thoroughly enjoyed.
I thought the book as well written and a good listen. will read the rest of the series.
"On a par with Peter May, Peter James and Kerry Wilkinson"
A new author for me. I loved the story with its climaxes where the protagonist seems doomed. Totally believable twists and turns. Exciting and I couldn't stop listening.
I really could not turn it off - very addictive
downloading next in the series now 😀
Another brilliant story with Victor kicking ass and being deadly as ever. can't wait to start book 4
Victor offers such delightful escapism. No more, no less. These stories are simply perfect for audio. Don't prevaricate, buy any of these books and just enjoy the ride.
"A rip roaring ride!"
loved this book and the books before. I am now addicted to this series. Some thrilling jaw drop moments. I thought the narration was really entertaining and totally committed. I just wanted to listen till the end. just couldn't put it down!
This a brilliant book in a fantastic series.
Beautifully articulating both sides of right and wrong.
"Another great Victor story"
Couldn't stop listening to Mr Woods story about Victor, staying awake late in to the night, absolute brilliant writing didn't want the story to end, it's late as I write this but can't wait to listen to Book 4 of the Victor storyline....hope he doesn't die at the end. I love how the story was narrated, great it's been the same person from the beginning .... you did a fantastic job Mr Philpot, loved hearing your voice as Victor, can't wait to hear you again in book 4 .... Better Of Dead.
"Ian Fleming Eat Your Heart Out"
Tense, Fast, Deadly
Last page where he is apparently caught weaponless.
He IS the story. Cannot fault him.
Unusually with this series I find myself buying each book after the other, spending all my time absolutely engrossed and wanting more and more each time without a break in the series with another book.
Victor is quite simply one of my favourite fiction characters, and in this book he doesn't disappoint me. On to the next in the series, and possibly more of Tom Wood. This is one of the best fictional series I have come across!
