From New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Jana DeLeon, a new installment in her best-selling Miss Fortune series.
What's a little arson between friends?
Undercover CIA agent Fortune Redding spent her first three weeks in Sinful, Louisiana, dodging insults, makeup advice, guard dogs, bullets, and Deputy Carter Trahan, both professionally and personally. But just when she thinks things are going to settle down in the small bayou town, someone sets her friend Ally's house on fire. Carter, who'd just started pursuing Fortune on a personal basis, goes back into cop mode and admonishes her to stay out of his investigation. This time, he swears, he won't issue any warning before arresting her.
But with her friend's safety hanging in the balance, Fortune can't resist taking matters into her own hands and calls on her partners in crime fighting, Ida Belle and Gertie, to help. This is a mission for Swamp Team 3.

This one was different from the rest in the series and it's a welcome deviation. First we get to know more about Ally and get a lot more of Carter (wink, wink). It's just hard to believe that 4 books into the series and really only a month has gone by inteh lives of these quirky characters.
"One of the best series I have ever read"
This series is captivating, fun, and provides an exceptional listening experience.
The characters are superbly developed, their personalities well defined, and the mystery is always at the heart of the story
Cassandra Campbell is by far the best narrator of any book I have purchased on Audible. Her inflection, different voices, and understanding of each individual character are unmistakably deep.
Fortune, Idabel, Gertie, and Carter make for great characters as well as the unmistakable charm of Ally. These characters are discussed in a way you would discuss old friends.
I know this book series is about strong women and was developed for women. But as a 45 year old father of three, married for 26 years, I find this book series to be amazing. It is hard to put down and I am chewing through these books ate rate of 2 per week. I have even upgraded my membership just so I can get more of them. I will be extremely disappointed when the series is over. Trust me, this series is a fantastic read for men too.
Don't miss this series - start from the first book to build on the characters and situations. These people become family. And the stories grip you from the beginning to the end.
"Need to work on Cajun pronunciation."
Hebert is pronounced. "A-bear" not He Bert
LeBlanc is pronounced "La-Bla" not la blank
"just plain fun!"
enjoyable escape from reality. I usually read in car and at nite for 30 min. I found myself looking for excuses to read more often. I really like this series.
"Laugh Till You Cry"
These characters get into shenanagins that make for a thrilling, hilarious ride. Never a dull moment. Extremely well written, and very well performed.
"OK story, fabulous narration"
The story was somewhat twisty, but I called the big finish from about chapter 2. Worthwhile listen nonetheless. Narrator remains one of the best on Audible.
"Laugh out loud fun"
The Swamp Team is at it again I can't wait for the next one. Louisiana was never like this when I lived there.
"Made me Laugh while listening!"
A book that makes me laugh that I will listen to again. Similar to Stephanie Plum. but not a thought provoking book. Just for fun.
"Loves hubby, audio, quilting and grandkids."
I expected this book to be fun and enjoyable to listen to and I wasn't disappointed. I'm looking forward to listening to the rest of the series.
