In this new exclusive short story, number-one Sunday Times best-selling author Lee Child goes back to 1989, when Jack Reacher is serving as an officer in the military police.
A young lieutenant colonel in a stylish handmade uniform roars through the damp woods of Georgia in her new silver Porsche - until she meets a very tall soldier with a broken-down car. What could connect a cold-blooded off-post shooting with Reacher; his elder brother, Joe; and a secretive unit of pointy heads from the Pentagon?
Small Wars is a brand-new Jack Reacher short story, published exclusively as an audio download.
Includes an exclusive chapter from the new Reacher novel #20, Make Me (publication 10 September 2015).

"great short story"
really enjoyed this book, it had a great twist at the end and kept you hanging on until the end
"Good but too short..."
was getting Reacher withdrawal waiting for the new Lee Child book so though I'd try this short story... good listen but just too short.. builds and then a disappointing all too quick ending...
"a near perfect reacher short story!"
all that's missing is the fighting a wrong in his unique putting the world to right violent manner
"Really poor, cashing in on the books!"
Not worth buying. Some great Reacher books by this is not one of them, avoid.
A good story just far too short. I thought that the length was a typo, otherwise I would not have wasted a credit on it.
"Love it, awesome"
A great read. You just know he'll figure it out but you're never quite sure how
This felt very short, even for the other short stories. I liked how much continuity to other Jack Reacher books there was though.
"small wars, big bath"
straight into the action, then the investigation with the added intrigue of Reacher still being in the army plus the involvement of brother Joe, & all wrapped up in the time it takes for a decent bath.
"Wish I had read it instead"
No, I thought the narrator was terrible. Very monotone and he said she said.
No. I didn't like his narration and I cancelled the next book on Audio. I will go back to reading on my kindle for the next book so as not to spoil it.
I can't really tell if I liked the story because I didn't enjoy the voices. I shouldn't really have listened as I read all the other books in the series. Lesson learned.
Lee child with this short story take you back to when reacher is uniform. I thought this story was really good a five star for a short story
I wish it was a bit longer
