"Creepy, genuinely gripping." (Heat)
Loved this read. Couldn't stop listening. Nicci & French at their best. Cooking, cleaning, making beds all done whilst listening to this. I was hooked from the start. Fabulous.
Really enjoyed. Mainly listened to whilst driving and ironing. Have to admit , ironed slowly as it kept me gripped. Totally believable although once or twice I thought it was a big daft towards the end but on the whole thoroughly enjoyed
"engaging story and an easy listen"
the narrator was good, sounded like she had a cold but at emotional parts it helped make it sound authentic. I think the ending could have been expanded more as it sounded like an after thought rather than a twist, but I liked it and if you want an interesting easy listen with a good narrator and characters then download this one.
It is rare for an audio book to defeat me. This one has. Story doesn't grab me, though all the other Nicki French series has. Performance is really poor. I found it frustrating as I could hear in my head how it should have sounded.
I enjoyed listening to the book, the narrator was excellent .Unexpected twist at the end!
"Brilliant from beginning to end"
A superb book - well narrated and compelling listening. My first Nicci French book and looking forward to more from these authors
Pacey, exciting thriller - sadly, after starting this, I realised I'd seen the story on TV. Nonetheless, the story bore repetition and the audiobook was more satisfying than the TV version. My credulity was stretched in places but I am happy to recommend it as an entertaining page turner.
This book was very entertaining and very well read. it will keep you questioning to the bitter end. There are heart breaking events. A bit disappointed about the jump to the conclusion as I feel it wasn't bridged properly but other than that I enjoyed it.
"You get hooked on it"
Really good! It was interesting and not all the timevpredictable. A story that could be a reality for some.
Initially was very frustrated by the story line but found this to be a compelling listen .
Becomes less frustrating as the story develops.
Good listen for those who like psychological thrillers.
