The Camel Club returns in the breathtaking follow up to Divine Justice from the Number One International Bestselling author.
On the night of the State Dinner honouring the British Prime Minister, Oliver Stone witnesses an explosion as the motorcade leaves the White House. A bomb has been detonated in what looks like a terrorist plot directed at the President and the Prime Minister.
In the aftermath, British MI5 agent Mary Chapman, an experienced, lethal operative with an agenda of her own, is sent to assist and coordinate the investigation alongside American authorities. Stone, together with Harry Finn, Alex Ford and the rest of the Camel Club, is drawn into the inquiry.
But everything is not what it seems, and what happened in the park may not have been the actual plan. It seems the mysterious attackers had another target in their sights, and it’s up to the Camel Club to stop them, or face the catastrophic results.

loved the book with all its twists and twists and turns . Treat reading by Ron and Orlagh. one of my favorite authors
I used to enjoy David Baldacci's books, especially the Camel Club series, but this one just can not hold my attention! I started with this book a few weeks ago and gave up on it before it was half way cause I just could not find a reason to continue! Up to that point everything revolved around the park and there was no suspense, just a lot of talk. Moving so slow I fell asleep several times. Please let me know it gets better so that I can try to complete the listen somewhere in the future.
"Good but more of the same"
I have read almost all of Baldacci's work and while this is nothing new it kept my interest. The story rattles along at a good pace and has enough twists and turns but as always it's the characters that I struggle with - they are just too perfect for their roles. You can always tell who the sacrificial lamb will be (normally the female side kick who Oliver Stone has been forced to work with) and that in the end stone will triumph. If you can ignore the obvious the its not a bad listen
"Did not dissapoint"
Brilliant story lots of twists and turns could not put it down carnt wait for more Baldacci.
"A hellish good listen."
I have been a fan of David Baldacci for some time and have read most of his books. So it was a pleasure to listen to the story of the Camel Club (how does one join?) dealing with the twists and turns of the plot. A fascinating story well narrated by Ron McLarty. I am not sure that the use of two narrators works so well, just a personal preference.
As usual, a well devised plot, characters that have credibility and an execution of the plot that makes you wonder what turns are coming and indeed where the next corner maybe.
"Fast paced action thriller."
If you like good action thriller with plenty of conspiracy thrown in then this is for you. It doesn't take up too much brain power but it is enjoyable never the less.
A fantastic finale to the camel club series. However as much as I like the way Ron and Orlagh read, Orlagh cannot do a passable british accent.
"Good story worth a read but"
Not the best Camel Club book.
Little slow to start and some unrealistic events. But if you are a fan then give it a read
"Excellent twists galore"
Brilliant performance of a superbly crafted tale. You won't want to put it down. Can't wait for the next one.
"Hard to believe this is the Camel Club or Baldacci"
Looked forward to this one for ages as the Camel club series has been so go. Unnecessarily convoluted plot, lack of involvement of most of the Camel club and too much dialogue ruin what could have been an exciting next step in the series. Please David get it back on track
"Not one of his best."
I'm a big fan of David Baldacci, and I have read or listened to most of his novels. I have to stay, I found this one hard going. The story is slow to develop after the initial action in the park.
It won't put me off reading more of David's books, indeed I've got a couple more in my Audible library to follow with.
"Not the Best David Baldacci"
I still found it entertaining, enjoyed the narration and sound effects. A bit long winded though.
